Cervantes would be a good choice to have the possibility to outpoint Hatton without knocking him spark out.

    Eddie Perkins.

    Carlos Ortiz.

    Tony Canzoneri.

    Barney Ross.

Duilio Loi (this is a great chance)

You just didn't think too hard here. :p

    Locche wouldn't stop him.

Hatton Vs Fuji is about his 'level' IMO.

Arguello would spark him inside one or two rounds for sure, even the Hatton that fought Tszyu.

Chavez, Taylor, Pryor are all just terrible matchups for him that he gives a good go in before getting hideously smashed in about seven or eight rounds.

I see Hatton- Arguello going like Arguello-Mancini (maybe a bit earlier on the stoppage) which is a damn site better for Hatton than Hatton-Chavez/ Taylot/ Pryor is going to go.....;O)

As Flea says the 3 pressure guys are bad matchups for Hatton and would end in early/ mid round KOs. At least at 140 Arguello was slipping a bit and may have taken a few more rounds to finish the job.

Canzoneri would most definitely stop him IMO.

Ortiz has so much he can fall back on, I imagine he'd be so far ahead (over 15 for sure) that he would know everything he could do to Ricky; I imagine he'd break him down after outboxing him early, and take him out late. Ortiz was as complete a fighter you'll get at the weight.

To be honest I know of Cervantes' career, but have only seen him twice, in losing efforts. Hatton would be odds-on to suffer an early flash kd like Pryor. But he wouldn't win, and wouldn't get stopped either I don't reckon. He didn't have a bad chin by any
means, and with his strength he could get time off and stifle quite a lot of fighters IMO, reducing the rate he gets broken down.

But not against the top-top-top guys in the divisions history.

Jack Berg. Hatton would go the distance with him I reckon.

Sometimes I quote, sometimes I quote someone and talk about someone else, sometimes I don't even quote at all. What can I say...I'm above the rules :conf
