[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lIrca8XknM&feature=related[/ame] Uchiyama doesn't look difficult to hit. What other fights of his does he look good in? Why doesn't Japan recognise the WBO or IBF?
 not a hater just pointing out the obvious..ricky burns isn't the best sfw..did i say it could have gone either way...I know burns clearly won the fight by 2 rounds in my opinion, which makes it a close fightatsch you are extremely ******ed..so your saying that theres not a possibility of being at a disadvantage fighting away from home?:nut
Burns never ''beat the man'', let's get that straight. You're not number 1 in the division just because you've beaten Nicky Cook. Salgado beat Linares, he was #1, and Takashi in turn beat Salgado. Fana's resume is much better too, and there is also a great case for ranking Aoh higher than him also.
I honestly don't think there is a definitive answer here, and wouldn't overly complain about one of three or four fighters being placed at No.1, with Ricky Burns being one of those fighters. Lets admit it, the division is a bit pish, and none of the top guys has a ring record that puts him head and shoulders above the rest.
:happy Finally some sense. The overrating before and after this fight of martinez is sickening. He's beaten Nicky Cook and some bums in Puerto Rico that were about as good as Ricky Burn's last two defences. When did Nicky Cook become a barometer? The last time he fought at world class he got stopped badly by a non-puncher. That said, I do agree with D-MAC. I'm going to have to watch more of Uchi but its true nobody is head and shoulders above.
Well I think it's very far fetched to say that Martinez would win in Peurto Rico when you consider he was beaten hands down, completely out fought at his own game and against a Burns who is only going to grow from the win. 2 rounds is about as close as you could score that fight and that's taking into account the flash knockdown at the end of the first round. Also I'm not saying that Martinez wasn't overrated but regardless, he was considered by many to be the number 1 and burns wooped him, therefore it's not out the question to make an argument for ranking him number 1.
