didnt marquez had problems with mayweathers hieght and jab. guerrero is no mayweather, but guerrero is right now in his prime and his jab is great, also roberto has good punching power.

His defense and technical discipline just aren't as good in terms of utilizing his reach with straight punches, and Marquez won't be weighed down by 9 pounds of muscle for fear of being bullied. Guerrero is open to counters over the top. I think Casamayor had a reach advantage and Marquez was able to counter him even though he still had some speed and pop left.

Guerrero is a smart fighter. He knows how to use his length.

At JMM's age, I don't think he can deal with the kind of fighter that picks when to engage and disengage unlike Katsidis, or Juan Diaz, or Casa, who tend to enegage unnecessarily.

Guerrero can't even put Katsidis away. Marquez by decapitation!

  7. LOL... Marquez would out class Guerrero BADLY
it's not about Marquez chasing Guerrero, what the hell man? Marquez is one of the most intelligent fighters on the ring,
Marquez Hand speed and reflexes would give him the KO in 8
besides, we've seen that body punches stop Guerrero's movement, who do you think punches more to the body in combinations?
that's a poor preview you did there..

    The way I see it.

Would not be surprised with an upset though(Age will catch up with JMM soon)!

Marquez wins the fight, both have a shot at winning the event.

JMM is very adept at dealing with southpaws, he'd still gobble up Guerrero

Jmms body work is masterful... katsidis did well in the body.. jmm would make Guerrero take a kner with all the shots he would get to the body ..

Juan Manuel is on a different level then Michael Katsidis. Robert's movement and jab would do him well early against Juan Manuel . rounds fhree and four Marquez would have started to solve Robert's style and atart to break him down. If Katsidis could slow THE ghost down with body shots Marquez would hurt him big time. juan Manuel by late stoppage or 12 round UD !

Lets just say i would advised JMM to move to 140 and fight Judah and Morales. Business wise. As a fan this one would be more fan friendly.

Guerrero boxes very well but can go to war. Basically a younger biger version of JMM. Guerrero is the truth at LW and has the frame to go all the way up to WW. I have no idea how this kid made FW!!

However JMM is a more wise version of Guerrero. I see this as a true 50-50 fight in which it will start tactical and end brutal for both guys possibly finishing off JMMs elite status. Thats not to say he loses but he will take enough punches to push him past it.

As a fan i want this one bad but i also want JMM to win a title at 140. So take on Judah in the summer and then Guerrero in the winter.
I would love to see Guerrero mix it up with the 140 pounders.
