Katsidis vs Guerrero - skipped the fight on Saturday, I wanted to see how well Guerrero did seeing as Katsidis' face was battered. Scored it 10 rounds to 2, I think (117-108 ).

Guerrero did well, but we must remember that was a showcase fight him that he was meant to win. It's sad how Katsidis is being used now really.

He ought to build himself up again with a few 'confidence fights' and then maybe get another world title shot in the future. I hope that he wins a world title, he's an entertaining guy.

Trinidad was an absolute beast at the time of the Reid fight, just a monster. Reid should've never taken that fight, but he was having eye problems so they cashed out on him. Tito gave him a beatdown.

I remember the vibe at the time, when trinidad beat Reid and then marmalised Thiam people thought he could beat people at 168. The hype was that crazy. But Trinidad deserved that hype by his performance. After he almost decapitated Joppy and destroyed Vargas for good, people thought there was no way Hopkins could beat him even though it was at middleweight.

When people talk about stuff like 'that fighter was too small' or try and revise history it really gets my goat. I always try and look back at the vibe of the times these things were happening. When someone tells you well, Hopkins should've beaten Trinidad because he was bigger, they don't know the vibe going into that fight. Trinidad was a massive favourite. I think the odds were 4 to 1 or something crazy like 6 to 1 in favour of Felix.

Trinidads only poor performance at welter was against De La Hoya, at 154 he looked unbeatable and that led him going to a place where he had no business going to.

There is one fighter Trinidad missed and that was Ike Quartey, that would've been a great fight and it should've happened.

The problem was, there was a stalemate at the welterweight division at that time, not until the moneymaker Oscar fought Ike did that stalemate break. It's one of the things Oscar never gets credit for. It'd be like no one at light welter fighting eachother now, it took Khan the moneymaker to fight Maidana for Bradley and Alexander to happen, and it was a similar situation. Once the moneymaker takes a tough opponent then the others have no choice.

That's why i picked Hopkins to win...:D shame i'm not a betting man though.

But the hype around Trinidad at that time was crazy, people laughed when i said Hopkins could/would win. It's the honest truth.

Ruben Olivares was a beast, LP. Definitely worth a look. He's an ATG especially at bantam. You'd enjoy him, he was a vicious puncher and had an awesome left hook. His fights with Lionel Rose, Chucho Castillo and Bobby Chacon are a must see. He was faded by the time he fought the likes of Lopez, Pedroza and even Arguello. He also broke the heart of one of our best fighters never to win a world title in Alan Rudkin (RIP).
