Mcguire will change that. Wigan had not done nothing for years and he came and changed the whole culture of the club. Mcguire will sort the south's out.
agree mcguire will sort it out, hes a good coach but souths have got problem like a plague, i dont know how much time theyll give him
I hope he's given the freedom to call the shots himself, bring his own staff in, and then be accountable for it all. If Bennett had signed, he would have had all the freedom he wanted, without Richo (club CEO) sticking his beak into coaching selection, and affairs. Now that they've chosen another unproven NRL coach, I fear that Richo just might be pulling his strings a bit. If he has the following, I'll be a happy man... * Can teach a team to defend *Variate tactics *The balls to drop underperforming players
Our defence at wigan has been really good. Well up until the last 3 games but before then we were solid. Really impressive at defending our own line as well. I think Mcguire obviously learnt a lot under Bellamy at the storm and like it or not mentally the storm were strong. I know they had superstars but they were still mentally tough and as we see now without there stars they still have the same culture at the team.
Yes. The storm were, and are a well coached unit. Another thing I've noticed under the Storm is that they are one of the fittest teams in the comp, and Bellamy has some really excruciating off season training drills. He makes the players exhausted, then brings in a fresh batch of under 20's big men to test them out in a friendly game, and makes them work for one another while heavily fatigued. Hopefully McGuire also has a similar style, as Souths are also in need of it as I feel we are one of the unfittest teams atm.
