:huh They split two fights; one where Hopkins was still on a learning curve, and another where Junior had clearly seen much better days...

    I agree

They never fought at their best. Hopkins showed as his career went on that he had much growth, and RJJ was hurt. I think had they, itd have looked a little like the Montell Griffin fight looked like ending, minus Bernard getting badly hurt. A close, contentious affair.

'Frazier is not an ATG and Welterweight Duran is Tommy Hearn's worst nightmare' - There's some ****ed up **** being said in this thread.

    Tyson vs Dempsey

Duran of course 'deserves a mention.' But only as a single mandatory line for an ESB classic thread.

You think he would be so scared of Jack that he would bring a gun into the ring and shoot him? Interesting thought. :think

ali wasnt puny but he never had the superheavyweight proportions and reach advantages of a bowe and lewis and klitchkos

I do take back the ' Joe Frasier has no chance' remark

Fights can look like mismatches but prove otherwise when they happen.

How many times did Evander Holyfield prove us wrong. erik morales the other night

Good call on Foreman v. Marciano. I think he would stop Rocky VERY early. This would be ugly. It would be worse than the Frazier beat down since Rocky can take a punch. It would make it even more disturbing, since he would take a ton of heavy shots.
