    Branco Milenkovic (Fana's promoter)

"Frank Warren has been going on about the unification for the past three weeks on every available international website. I got sick and tired of reading about it so I informed his Sports Network that if they are serious about this fight, they should contact me instead of running to the media.
Two weeks ago Frank made me an embarrassing offer for Fana to fight Burns in Scotland but I countered this by doubling his offer to bring Burns to South Africa. Frank never replied. The fight was not only going to be for the IBF and WBO but also for the prestigious Ring Magazine belt"

Interesting to see where he goes now. Th e 2 defences after Martinez have been terrible so there has to be a big step up next. The only fights that would sell now are a Martinez rematch or an all british fight with someone like Foster (which in itself is completely unjustifiable) seeing as no unification fights look on the cards

I think his interest might increase when Martinez becomes his mandatory.

Never going to happen though is it? if Warren won't let him go to South Africa for a winnable fight vs fana, he certainly won't let him go to japan where he would be a pretty big underdog

I think we see him continue to fight joke defences until one of Murray or Mitchell have a world title.

Martinez vs Cruz was suppoesed to be an eliminator this weekend but got called off. So it could be a while before a mandatory defence.

Tough fights to make unless Warren can get 10 000 + in a stadium in Scotland for this fight i dont think he n afford to get Fana over that the big risk

Japan is a no go. Japs don't recognize the WBO and if Warren cannot afford to bring Fana over he won't be able to afford Uchyama or Aoh

didn't exactly stop Montiel going over and winning the WBC title to add to his WBO title.

How did that occure then exactly because Montiel surely wasnt ranked by the WBC as he was already champion must have been a voluntary for Hasegwa

    I think it was.

Although JBC policy that the WBO title wasn't on the line, if Montiel had lost his title would have become vacant.

What are they trying to achieve?

Did Burns and Warren make serious money fighting in front of a few k against a Norwegian midget and Larryea? Hardly setting him up for life are they...those fights. They might as well take the plunge, Fana isn't exactly invincible. He's an old man FFS, that was destroyed against the best.

No worse than Laryea or the Norwegian kid.
