One of my favorite fighters. You will be missed in the ring! I wish you would have given us a Marquez match, oh well...You still gave us plenty of great fights...Enjoy retirement, next round of Guiness is on me!!!

good for him, allthough in my eyes it sucks if your retire on a loss, it would be way better if he had fought one last time in manchester with all his fans as a farewell fight.

One of the most exciting 140lbers, Too bad his habits between fights caught up with him. I hope he does well in his life. Good luck to him.

what do you mean? I think him drinking and eating thus blowing up between fights didnt cause his 2 losses, he was outclassed, which is no shame if you consider his opposition. I think the pac ko made him lose his passion as a boxer. I hope he stays healthy and happy and sticks to making fights in England with his company.

It didn't help his punch resistance ballooning up, then coming back down.

Mayweather and Pacquiao beat him even if he didn't...but the weight gain, then weight loss certainly didn't help.

Confirming what we already knew really.

Anyways, best of luck to him, was a great character and will go down in boxing history as one of the best supported boxers of all time.

It would have prolonged his career also. He's two years younger than Mayweather and his body must be 10 years older than him. He could have mixed it with Khan/Bradley and some of the welters also has he not lived an unhealthy lifestyle.
