I would complain that you'd removed the Frochinator but Masahiko will do :good

That was the most enjoyable for me, what a fighter. The whole purpose of that was to demonstrate how (arguably) 3 lineal titles is so much more significant than picking up baubles in even more divisions. Hopefully I made a good case.

Four months in and it appears a lock for 'Thread Of The Year', and by creating it, Mand' is odds-on to retain his title :deal

Have you heard of Packy MacFarland?!? Insane resume, aesthetically, in terms of names, and the fact there is footage of he and Welsh facing off :happy

Will struggle for footage with a few though

Fritzie Zivic is clearly one of the most underrated fighters in history. The epitome of old skool.

    Don't worry about the Frochinator...

    He'll be back.

I've been doing a lot of reading up on Harada lately and fancied paying a wee tribute. I love Frochy, but the amount of avatars I've had of him leave me teetering on the edge of looking like a Laz-style nuthugger.

Concerning your Masahiko piece; you've definitely done him justice, very well written indeed. He really was a hell of a fighter. To achieve what he did when winning a world title actually meant something was remarkable. I must admit, I'm not very well schooled on older fighters so it's a joy reading these articles. Keep it up all! :good

According to Zivic's own account, the first bout with Armstrong was very dirty. Armstrong started out fighting that way: "Henry's givin' me the elbows and the shoulders and the top of the head, and I can give that stuff back pretty good, but I don't dare to or maybe they'll throw me out of the ring."[2] By the seventh round, Zivic had had enough, and began responding in kind. The referee (still according to Zivic), then told the fighers, If you want to fight that way, it's okay with me. Armstrong had built up a good lead, but Zivic went to work, cutting both of Armstrong's eyes and opening a gash on his mouth. Zivic said "pardon me" several times while fouling his opponent. In the fifteenth and final round, Zivic hit Armstrong with a left hook-right cross combination. Armstrong went down as the bell ended the fight. Zivic won a unanimous decision.

He ducked a Burley rematch big time though. Zivic's manager bought out Burley's contract just to avoid the matchup :patsch

He never wanted to defend his title against Burley though.
