The guy that moved down a division a few months back to avoid a world title shot is hungry for belts. That's a completely logical conclusion you have arrived at there.
Hey Ashley, riddle me this... A mate flew over for the fight last night and was sharing a cab to the airport today with one of the undercard fighters and his trainer. They won't too impressed as they hadn't been paid yet and had to stump for the hotel themselves, after being promised it had been taken care off. Perhaps you could get on the hotline to Khoder and get some answers, you know, the highly reputable, trustworthy guy that he is.
"True to his word"... ****ing greatest comment of pure tosh I've ever read on here! You have to give Ash credit though, the love he shows for Khoder's working with getting what was a 2-0 fighter the most rd's and the main support slot on the card.
Plenty of talk about Trout defending against various opponents iincluding Mexican Marco Antonio “Dorado” Reyes (see article this thread - post #703) and Argentinian Rodolfo Ezequiel Martinez below: Austin Trout, Abraham Han line up opponents for May by Bill Knight - El Paso Times - 7th April 2011 Austin Trout, the WBA light middleweight champion of the world from Las Cruces, is on the verge of making his first title defense -- quite possibly in Argentina in mid-May -- and El Paso's undefeated light middleweight Abraham Han will fight next on May 6. Trout, 22-0 (13 knockouts), is on the verge of signing to fight Rodolfo Ezequiel Martinez, 39-4-2 (15 KOs), of Buenos Aires, in mid-May in Argentina. Han, 12-0 with 10 knockouts, will face Taronze Washington, 14-14 (7 KOs), May 6 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. That bout is part of a Top Rank show, the promotional company that now handles Han. It will be on an ESPN Friday Night Fight card that features Diego Magdaleno, 18-0 (6 KOs), against Gilbert Sanchez Leon, 30-8-3 (10 KOs), in the super featherweight main event. Han had to pull out of a fight in March due to a broken ear drum sustained in training. "Abie is in great shape and he's ready to go," trainer Louie Burke said. "He never stopped training when he busted his ear drum. He just stopped sparring. Abie never quits training. We don't know if his fight will be part of the television card or not. "As for Austin, it was prematurely reported he was going to fight David Lopez (40-12) in Mexico," said Burke, who also trains Trout. "But we feel like he has a more lucrative deal in Argentina and we are leaning toward that fight." Trout dismantled Rigoberto Alvarez last February in Guadalajara to win the vacant WBA light middleweight championship. Trout so dominated the action that he shut Alvarez out, winning 119-108 on all three judges' cards. Han, the Irvin High graduate who will graduate from UTEP in May, signed with Top Rank in February. He has not fought since taking a second-round technical knockout over Orphius Waite on Jan. 22 in Las Vegas.
