i've never been to a khan fight but a few of my friends have and they all have said theres usually a group of guys walking around shouting and looking for trouble.

Ireland has some high crime suburbs in Dublin and Limerick like every other city in the world. To answer your question though - It is perfectly safe for you to come over. Not sure what kind of holiday you are into but if you like your activities the west of Ireland is class and you will be given a warm welcome by the locals. Dublin & Belfast are great craic too and multicultural. Race is not an issue in Ireland. Some of our sporting and music heroes like Paul Mc Grath / Phyl Lynott (were not milybars like a lot of us:yep) etc so not sure where your mate got his information from?

Northern Ireland is great craic too and the very South. My adive - come to Dublin for the weekend than head west if it's summer. Galway is best place for a weekend but all along the coast are great holiday resorts and if you want to take in some boxing keep an eye out for Brian peters promotions or Dolhpil promotions and I GUARANTEE you will not have any trouble.
Also when you go to dublin make sure you take in some live comedy and music - pm me if you need more info. You might want to know the European amateurs will be held here next.

I really hope theres no trouble at all, (and honestly think there'll be none) but if the Khan "army" kick off on the Dungiven/Irish/N Irish men, the Khan "army" would get the absolute shite beat out of them.

I think you'd have **** all trouble, its not like Irish people don't know whats it like to be treated like terrorists...plus Muslims have never attacked Ireland. There may well be the very odd person in rural areas staring, though that'd mainly be unintentional, as many people in rural areas of Ireland won't have seen anyone thats not from Ireland (or not white) before. In my personal opinion, theres less racism in Ireland than in Britain.

edit Galway is brilliant to visit, the North can sometimes get a wee bit tense during the Summer leading up to and around the 12th of July, though the north is beautiful too especially Co Derry and Antrim..loads of nice sandy blue flag beaches...shite weather unfortunately

 

Also - Dublin has the biggest Mosque in Europe at Uuniversity College Dublin if I'm not mistaken. My dad goes to some Islamic shops to try out some new cuisines there heard they are doing well for themselves.
