Hatton Hangs up his gloves

  1. I will always be a Ricky Hatton fan. Dude is a likable, down to Earth kind of guy and when he was on top of his game he was both exciting and hard to beat. It's a bummer not to have any Ricky Hatton fights to look forward too anymore.

  2. Yeah well yer a **** and nobody likes you. :thumbsup

And? He dedicated his career to the sport you allegedly are a fan of and the time comes to pay the man his respects and you can't bring yourself to say one good thing about him.

You're not a boxing fan. You're like a football hooligan, no interest in the actual sport, you just use it as a means to be a ****.

Really? The guy made some exciting fights he had unreal support from the British fans. He just wasn't that good of a fighter. I don't dislike the guy or anything. I just didn't like his hit and hold style.

Long overdue. I'm surprised he did it only now.

I'm very happy with this news. My memories of Ricky against Thaxton, Tackie, Maussa, Urango, Castillo and Collazo to name a few will always live in my memory, but I think any Ricky fan will remember that great night in Manchester when he made the great Kostya Tyuzu retire on his stool

His lifestyle wasn't associated with longevity, and loses to the 2 greatest boxers of our generation in no way should disgrace or hinder his achievements.

Everyone said "his lifestyle was bad, he should stop drinking e.t.c" but if he would of done that he wouldn't be the Ricky Hatton we all became fans of. He was a man of the people and thats why the public liked him so much, a warrior in the ring who would fight every second of every round

Thankyou to Ricky for some fantastic memories, and the more boxers you keep away from the leach that is Frank Warren the better!

It takes guts to fight in the ring and sometimes even more to stop fighting especially when one has had as good of a career as Ricky had.

    Farewell and Good Luck Ricky!
