you do realize that many fighters from "over there" think the similar things about "over here."

you can definealty say jones didnt want the fight but dm didn't exactly bend over backwards to make it happen either. both men seemed content on not fighting eachother.

    This is just not true.
Michalczewski really wanted that fight badly, and he was very willing to go to the U.S. to fight Jones. It was Jones who wanted no part of it at all, despite Dariusz being the lineal champ.
Also I'm not so sure RJJ would have been that big of a favourite, Dariusz was a beast in his prime and he had a lot of heart. Jones knew why he avoided him like the pest.

Here is the issue I have with Roy Jones in a match up like this. DM in his Prime was a legit fighter. Jones has a very weak Chin and no plan B in a fight. We all saw what happened to him when his opponents stopped giving him respect. That is why I have a hard time agreeing with the people on here that say he would blow right through Benn, Eubank, Collins, DM, McClellen etc.

No doubt Jones was good but he never really tested himself against a guy that could put pressure and punch.

That being said I would favor Roy in this fight but who knows what would happen?

I don´t DM for not getting over there considering how even bigger names like Lewis or his stablemate Schulz got robbed there.

Both sides can play that game. :thumbsup

If they must "go through the US" how exactly are they "world" titles?

The IBF is the only US based world title. The WBA is in Panama the WBC is in Mexico and the Wbo in Puerto Rico. As you know boxing is corrupt and the titles go where they can get the highest sanctioning fees for their bouts and during the time of Jones reign, they all ran through the US. Thats just a fact and even though DM was a draw in Europe Jones had most of the major titles along with HBO backing him.

RJJ, by late stoppage. To much speed and power.

Routine defence for Jones. The only reason people still bring this up is because of DM being just like Slappy Joe and ran for the hills when both guys were in their prime.

Jones at this time had a decent chin, and outlandish speed and power, DM would have folded inside of 6 rounds of torture.

Of course all the chin-checkers will disagree but that's fine by me, I love to see morons argue the point, makes me even more convinced that I'm right.

Jones would have beaten Benn, McClellan, Watson, Eubank etc just as easily too, but they never actually earned their shot back in the day or were prepared to take the shot, that much gets missed on here all the time. Benn and Eubank were **** scared of both Toney and Jones, McClellan was in no position to fight again after the Benn fight yet haters bring him up as someone Jones never faced all the time :rofl

That´s probably why DM was stripped of them shortly after winning them. :thumbsup

The only reason Jones had most of the title was because they stripped DM from them - which was a joke anyway.

You guys can say how Jones would handle Dariusz power, but what about Dariusz handling Jones power?

The biggest puncher Dariusz faced was Montell Griffin and Jones was a far bigger puncher than him. Rocchigiani, Girard and Hill were weak punchers.

Although Hill had surprising power at times, when he actually went for the KO he had decent power.
