In that case we should really be putting Pac and Floyd in a separate category away from the P4P list. They are what we should call, "showmen", since what they're doing is more about entertainment rather than challenging themselves against the best challengers available.

Two best showmen in boxing = Pac and Floyd.
Two best fighters today = Martinez and Donaire.

I realize business is part of boxing but the P4P list is about what fighters do in the ring. When or if Pac and Floyd decide to take on formidable challengers and win, they may be reinstated to their former list. Until then they shouldn't be allowed to ride on cruise control.

floyd will be removed from the list in a few weeks, if pac keeps fighting opposition like mosley or clottey while martinez cleans out 160 or if donaire keeps destroying p4p fighters he will lose his #1 spot. Im pretty sure he will step up in competition though.

This haters are funny. Mosley even said Martinez is too big for him. Anyone that has an eye knows that. If they were only the same size, I would bet Exactabox on Pacquiao.

Will then I hope him and Pac can see on mutual ground because waiting to see them fight is getting real boring.

Over at the place where they Hype Fights there is a very interesting, in-depth, interview with Kelly Pavlik. Kelly told the writer the same thing he told me on Face Book. If Sergio Martinez would agree to meet him at 166 pounds, he would "take that fight in a heart beat."

Now here's the rub. Martinez keeps calling out these smaller guys like Floyd, Pac, and Cotto. Floyd belongs at 147 tops. Pac would probably be at his absolute best at 140. Cotto is at 154 now, but Miguel was actually a small welterweight. Martinez said he can't make 154 anymore, and won't fight under 156. He's a full fledged middleweight now who weighed 170 pounds when he entered the ring to fight Dzinzurik. Nevertheless, Sergio's supporters justify his actions by claiming he deserves a big pay day.

Pavlik will get a ton of exposure on the Pac/Mosely PPV. If he handles Alfonso Lopez the way he should, we'll see a whole new crop of Pavlik fans out there, and a lot of those fans who abandoned him will jump back on The Ghost Train. He'll be a big money fighter again.

During negotiations for Pavlik/Martinez II Sergio would be in the drivers seat. He'd be in a position to set-up the biggest pay day of his career. All he has to do is agree to do for Kelly the same thing KP was happy to do for Jermain Taylor: Give him a rematch contracted at just 6 pounds above the middleweight limit.

Now here's a question. Is there any real reason for Martinez to avoid this fight? If so, what is it?

    Totally fair.

Martinez is too big for Pacquiao, and the super middleweights are in turn too big for Martinez.

I'd rather see Pacquiao stay at or below welterweight, and would rather see Martinez stay at middleweight.

There was no need for this match-up to ever be discussed (other than Sergio wanting a payday).

So why would Martinez turn down a career high pay day for fighting a guy he already beat once?

THere were many who were "too skilled" for PAC and we saw how that ended up.... but Sergio is a tall order for anyone, but PAC is human 8 divisions is a lot and I think PAC knows 147 is the limit for him.

Martinez is only calling Pac out for name recognition only, he knows he could never get down in weight to fight him, its just sad that he has to play the ***** mayweather card and call out smaller fighters, be a man and fight at mw or if you have balls, super mw.

154 is too big for Pacquiao, the guy can't barely weigh 150 lbs. on fight night, can you imagine JMM, and other lww's fight a guy at 150, and 17+ lbs heavier? It was like a cutting a tree, at first you can bring down a small one but in the end you find out you're stretching it too much and realized "hey, this is too much! its... an oak tree!"

Yes, he was too big. He had a 17 lb advantage over Pacquiao. That is crazy. He just happened to be slow enough for Pacquiao to overcome that disadvantage. Martinez not only would enjoy a huge size advantage but he's fast and has knockout power too... at middleweight. Asking a Jr. welterweight to fight someone like that is crazy. Tell Floyd's ***** ass to do it. He's naturally bigger then Manny anyway.
