Absolutely correct. If there had been a rematch (and God knows WALDO did his best to avoid it) then the same thing would have happened again, Sanders early KO.

Lucky for WALDO his brother has a slightly less glass chin and better stamina and got the ridiculously dangerous 40 year old golfer out of the way so he could continue his assault on **** all of any significance :rofl:rofl:rofl

Sanders being a swift, hard punching southpaw and 213 pounds when in top shape, would NOT be a walk in the park for 1940s Joe Louis....

Does Sanders KO Louis with a sneak left cross? Probably not inside 3 rds as the thread suggests, but its possible....

My guess is, Louis survives a few rocky segments in the fight and finds his range and KO's a tiring Sanders for an 8th round KO win...

No way, Jose......... Louis ain't kayoing Sanders in 1 rd.... NOPE!:-(

Sanders is big, quick, hard crossing and a southpaw... Louis would have to work for this KO.... This is of course if Sanders is of his youth and well trained.... Even the aging Sanders of 230 pounds was still a good heavyweight....

Of all of the heavyweights i have seen on film i think Joe Louis is one of the most overrated H2H.

I don't think particularly highly of Sanders, but he was dangerous early as he was fast and powerful. Louis had absolutely atrocious movement, had trouble with speed and could be hurt.

Louis would be favorite but Sanders winning by TKO wouldn't surprise me.

Louis had great movement, he drew guys in for an attack and convinced them to lead. By doing so he slammed them into horrible counterpunches. Which is why he has so many ridiculous one punch knockouts.
