To say that it is about the fans and take it off the biggest platform in the UK and put it on a small channel with about 5,000 viewers is total commercial suicide. To cost your client £1.5million is unacceptable to any sportsman. If we keep doing things like this, we'll kill the game. Don't be stubborn and stupid and kill your relationship with Sky. It shows stubbornness and a lack of understanding of the TV market. Revenge is a dish best served cold, I don't think we've ever seen goings on like the last week before in British boxing. I have nothing but full respect for Amir Khan and I wonder how the loss of probably a million and a half pounds through the operational incompetence of his team will affect him on the night."

Irish sports fans travel to events in huge numbers, there will be approximately 7,000 there on the night and its not an exageration. In 2009 there were 20,000 Irish fans at the infamous Henri incident in Paris and we were only given the minimum ticket allocation of 4,000 by the French because we took 40,000 fans to the same stadium for a qualifier against the French in 2004.

At the 2002 world cup Irish fans outnumbered the Germans 7:1 at the Ireland-Germany game and as for Celtic - they took 80,000 fans to Seville in 2003, 1% of global air travel the day before the game was Celtic fans trying to get to Seville for that game.

There countless other examples you could use- look at the crowds Munster bring to Heiniken Cup away games, look at the numbers of Irish that go to Cheltenham every year, every time the Irish soccer team plays and away game the fans take over the main square in the city (incidentally, they we take over it in a good way, there are never any arrests)

You should research things before passing comment

I am not doubting that 7000 Irish/Plastics will be at the fight supporting McCloskey but you could say the same things about sports fans from allot of other countires.

oh an if 80,000 actually makes up 1% of global air travel for a day I am actually Floyd Mayweather Jnr. Thats ****ing ridiclious comment.

venusdiablo are you from Primetime?? Why do you feel you can charge £14.95 for this?

Given that all production costs will be recovered first, I'd say that's very very likely.

Probably much the same way as sky always do. Greedy team khan are most likely demanding that price...would've been much better as a free to air fight

hi Big dunk, yes I am. PPV pricing is determined by the promoters and as others have mentioned the productions costs have to be recovered before anyone makes any money. We have put together a fantastic on air and production team for this event and it will look fantastic.

On a personal not I feel the whole card is good value, we have a good undercard with Rendall Munroe, Martin Murray and Craig Watson all being featured as well as a main event which will be a cracking scrap at the very least. McCloskey is a very awkward fighter who will give Khan a great fight. This fight was worthy of being on SBO and if this was before the Audley fight noone would have questioned it being on SBO.

thats a pathetic arguement. Harrison vs Haye was **** so Khan should be allowed to rip people off to. Is that really the message you want to give out about your brand??

The fact you did not mention a single one of Munroe, Murray & Watson's opponents says it all.

The CARD is not worthy of being on Sky Box Office which is why they rejected it. This should have been recignised by yourselves and the promoter and an appropriate price put in place.

There is a market for a £5-£10 Boxing PPV in the UK. If Primetime listend to boxing fans you would realise that. Instead we have been served **** every time. I am a boxing fantatic, and I am doing well financially but I have never paid for one of your shows. Does this not worry you?

Why has there been no other boxing on Primetime this year? Premier Sports have picked up severall big fight cards?

Do you really beleive occasionally picking up an event at 2 weeks notice and over charging is going to build the Primetime brand?

to add to this I have seen who your pundity team is and I just laughed my head off. Robin Ried....Duke McEnze....the shocking US commentator!! It won't look fantastic as you don't offer HD!
