Why Do People Question the Greatness of Lennox Lewis ??

If u have read my previous post about Lennox u will see that i more or less think the same as u. BUT u CANNOT say typical UK chin????????

Joe Calzaghe, Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, Steve Collins, Robin Reid?????? Got more chin than JAY LENO mate! So dnt be dissing uk boxers chins, u can diss Lennox coz he DID hav a **** chin but dnt tar all uk fighters with the same brush.

Lennox was a Canadian/Jamaican/Gay anyway. He adopted England coz he lived here for a few years when he was a kid, thats about it.

 

Lewis on top of his game, beats everyone rather easily too.

Anyway, for me he's not beating Ali. It's just a styles issue. You need to be constantly on Ali or bothering him badly to beat him. And whilst there is evidence that Lennox can punch and slug in a great fashion when he wants to, I don't think that is the style that would be needed. You need to be a pressure man, a swarmer so to speak. Even when Norton did it, he did it by constantly bothering Ali with an unorthodox and herky jerky slugging style behind the jab. Lennox would be mainly trying to outbox Ali, in a similar way to Liston's attempt. It just doesn't happen for people, and I don't think Lennox's reach makes a difference, because lateral movement negates reach. Prime Ali is just ridiculous for his sideways movement, which creates angles for his constant punching. I just don't see it for Lewis at all personally.

I think Lewis has a good chance of beating all of the others though. There is no doubt that Lennox is one of the best heavies of all time, no doubt in my mind. I think he would stop Foreman. A fight with Louis is interesting for me, Lennox can hurt him definitely, but I also think there is no doubt that the opposite is also true. Louis' combos are so fast, if he catches you there is a possibility he ends the fight. I think Lewis-Holmes would be an absolute classic. These fights are hard to call because of how good each of them all are.

 

Just because at the end of Lewis' career, the talent in the division was waning a lot of people just remember this. Just re-look at the roster of name talent he has been in with and defeated every last one of them too by the way. No questions, an ATG.
Haters will hate, but the Lion is very deserving of a very high spot in the ATG ranks.

Seriously, Lennox was a great fighter and would've given problems to almost any other HW in history, except maybe holmes, who I think is just a bad match up for him.
