Hearn is right in some respects... with the event as it is, If this ends up being a Salita style blown away inside of a few punches.. It really could backfire on the industry as a whole. Hence SKY's insistence on a strong card.

They may as well charge £25 then. I understand the business reasons why its £15 but Primetime need to accept they are not Sky Box Office.

The cards they offer will not be of the same quality, and the level of production is no where near the same. Primetime should be looking to establish themselves as players in the PPV landscape and there not going to acheive it by ripping people off.

Sort out HD, sort out a proper commentary and pundity team. Robin Ried that must be some sort of sick joke! Get there act sorted and build up a brand of offering good value shows. Start at £10 and as things improve gradually start putting the price up.

What I don't understand is why primetime have not been doing £5 PPV's for the past year for the decent US cards. Hopkins has been the only one. I beleive there is a market for it.

Hearn is right in all respects.

If Primetime were doing things properly they would be an established player in the market by now.

They just seem to take any event that offered. stick it on at a random price and hope for the best without any marketing.

I think theres a market for all major boxing shows on TV if its done properly.

If this was in HD I would consider paying for it. If its not in HD i can get the same quality from linkng my TV to my laptop.

Robin Reid and pundit.....it might be worth watching for the comedic factor.

They could start showing some of his "other" work when there isn't any boxing on in the future.

Make no mistake Rob, the only reason it is not £25 is because that would prompt us hardcore fans not to not buy.

    Otherwise it would be.

you telling me Primetime could not have done a UK-US show with Hennesey. At least attempted it.

    Chisora vs Fury
    Theophane British title
    McIntosh Euro defence
    Witter vs O'Donnell

then to the US for the Chazez Jnr vs Zbik card. £10 would people go for it. I would if it was HD.

I would rather pay £25 and get value for money than pay £15 and get ripped off.

    Khan vs McCloskey
    Macklin vs Gevor
    Crolla vs Rees
    Watson vs Purdy
    Quigg vs Arthur
    Murray vs Mendy

then to the US for Berto vs Ortiz. I would pay £25 for that happilly on Sky Box Office but not on Primetime.

What are you on about getting ripped off Rob?

You aren't paying for it are you? So who is ripping you off?

They have picked up a show at a weeks notice, realised their shortcomings and set it at a price which they think will maximise their earnings.

I think they've set the price perfectly.

If you're gonna speak to people in the industry, you can't look at it from your personal point of view, you'd like it at £5, so would I, so would everybody else.

But it would be commercial suicide.

its commercial suicide charging more for an event than your main competitor who turned it down due to poor quality.

Do you see Tesco removing a product thats been heavily advertised from there shelves because its poor quality and had poor sales and Sainsburys offering it for more money with no advertising?

I have paid £15 for Sky PPV's and felt ripped off.

£10. End of story. I reckon they would have got more buys and make up the 1/3 of the price there cutting.

Even with having to invest in the equitment theres no way there production costs are as high as skys and there no marketing.
