Finally someone on here that looks at the figures and realizes these clowns cannot be getting the money they claim! All of Jrs money talk is media BS.

 

Ask Calzaghe and Jones how they did when they promoted a fight themselves. I know this is a much bigger fight that will make a lot more money but you need to have people like Arum, etc who actually know what they're doing. Ask Steve Wynn how he did promoting Duran-Leonard III and Douglas-Holyfield.

It really is amazing the lack of business sense of some people in the world. Promoters are the ones going out on a limb, signing guys, investing a lot of money in them and hoping they turn out to be worthwhile. As in any other business, some will do well and some will fail. When a fighter turns out to be great, the promoter should obviously make money as in any other business in the world. Obviously stealing from the fighter is bull**** and those that do steal from fighters are assholes.
