nice one!...hope it lives up to all the hype iv been givin it..or i could look quite the fool got a few bets on...hopefully 1 or 2 of them will come in
Doesn't Amir Khan have quite a decent southpaw sparring partner? Manny something or other... I think this is a lot more important than some would think. I know sparring stories are ripe for bull****, but if Amir can occasionally "win" sparring against Manny, he will have no issue with McCloskey.
I'm not too sure on the hype. Sure Amir has had every advantage possible with regards to preparation with Freddie Roach and sparring with the likes of Pacquiao but I have a strong sense that this has just led to more complacency. He's nowhere near unbeatable and providing McCloskey doesn't let the occasion get to him, I think he's got this.
I dont think McCloskey will spark Khan out before the 8th round...but Khan will fall like Salita did, before the ref finally calls it a day...and gives Dudey the belt :good
Loving your objectivity, you must hate Khan something chronic. Win or lose, Khan is still a better boxer than that arrogant c*nt in your avatar!
:rofl Great post! All bull**** of course, but still funny! I would love to hear which 'rounds' i.e. more than one, that Malignaggi won.
Khan's been knocked down in sparring this time out by Denis Douglin. Who? Exactly. Why is it bull**** that someone as tough as Michael Gomez would cause problems for Khan again? Sure Gomez wouldn't win now and it probably wouldn't even last that long but Amir is terrible against pressure fighters and anyone that can stand in front of him and trade, can take him out. Maidana nearly put him down about 5 times in their fight and it was only by some miracle, a bit of lenient refereeing and the conditioning work of Alex Ariza (which Khan no longer has) that Amir stayed on his feet the full 12. And full credit in doing so. But this is McCloskey's night. It's ludicrous for people to write him off just because he hasn't had the hype that Amir Khan has. Paul's had the perfect career up to now. He's held and defended the British and European titles, both of which Khan has never gone near. Amir's getting way too complacent again. I might well be wrong and if he dominates against McCloskey then again he deserves a lot of credit for that but let's just see.
I agree (good) pressure fighters are Khan's weak spot, but that's not how this fight is going down. I've not seen many of McCloskey's fights, but he's definitely not a pressure fighter. If you're so sure McCloskey's gonna beat Khan have an avatar bet. I already know the avatar picture if you lose
Yeah what's the bet than Jared? As long it gets you to take down that awful picture Hatton then I'm in.
