If Pac wanted to run around for 12 rounds in the ring, he could do that - but he chooses not to because that is boring as ****. His volume punching tells me he must also have excellent balance to be able to throw those punches at different angles. His defense IMO is underrated. If he threw less punches he would get hit LESS. Simple logic.
You, sir, are ******ed. Pacman was KO'd when he was in his teens. Gamboa goes down every other fight since his american debut.
Manny box for 12 rounds instead of slug it out? Err, no he can't. That's not his skill set. And Manny has terrible balance. The problem is the people he fights can't exploit it because they're slow as molasses, and can't box. He has no defense. His defense is his high punch output.
huh. ok, maybe I shouldn't have said easy to hit since most people seem to be focusing on that instead of the question... my question largely remains unanswered though, who are the fighters who have comparable offense (in terms of volume and power) but are harder to hit flush than Pac? I read Joe Calzaghe, which i could somewhat agree with although the discrepancy in power is huge (in a P4P sense naturally).
:good Funny how he mocked RJJ, the fighter who supposed to have the fastest hand, by sticking out his head.
patsch Calzaghe was much easier to hit than Pacquiao. You repeatedly refer to Calzaghe as if he was Willie Pep - WAKE UP AND ACTUALLY WATCH HIS FIGHTS. The guy had no head movement, a sloppy guard, was a sucker for a right hand, and ate punches in nearly every fight.
Ok enough with the Boxing Asylum stuff man. At least change the colors on your site it's blinding. You want to attract boxing fans and you do this **** ?
he still wasn't hard to hit in general, and that's despite facing straight bums for 90% of his career
He would probably get hit more if he didn't throw as much. A lot of guys say his punches dont hurt there just a lot of them in weird angle. Thats a lie. If you have to change your style and fight more diffensive means your getting hurt. As for his diffence, it's amazing. We exstablish he can get hurt. But since Marquez, dont remember him going down or been in serious trouble. Not saying he's a diffensive wizard like pernell. But this version of pacquaio, has a diffence that can see most of the punches. He reaches less which got him in trouble in the marquez fight. It's more fluid punches so if you punch with him, you get hit flush. Which is why most fighter would rather cover up.
