To day who would get it? I know there's fight of the year and fighter of the year, but if one fighter were to have the award for just one performance alone who gets it and what fight?

I def had morales in mind when I made this, to go in when no one gave him a chance and arguebly win the fight... That's good **** right there.

It's been the year of the underdog with alot of surprises
    1. Morales going the distance and nearly upsetting the most dangerous 140lber in Maidana.
    2. Ishida the featherfisted warrior from Japan in an inspiring and unlikely first round ko over highly regarded undefeated James Kirkland.
    3. Donaire brutally koing Montiel in a fight that was supposed to be a war. This one wasn't a surprise to me, but I expected more from Montiel.

And we ain't even half way through the year.

Gotta go with Morales, Rubio, and Ishida. I think those 3 would have to at least be in the top 5.

Rubio had a great performance. he had a distinct plan to take Lemiuex into the late rounds. He stuck with it and scored a great stoppage in the 7th rd. Was a top notch veteran showing.

Ishida, for performing far above form.

Comeback of the year: Morales. Even if it was one night only, he reminded us all why he's an ATG.
