This content is protected he had his moments. Pac is good at keeping the fight from getting inside, because he and Roac knows he's garbage there. Same with Amir. They have very good foot speed though that lets them getr away with a lack of an inside game
pac is just durable enough that cotto and margo cant break him down. pac is tough! his chin is granite. if you watch the cotto fight, cotto was hitting pac with a lot of punches but pac just brushes them off and controlled the whole fight from 5th round til 12. if you cant hurt pac, then you are in big trouble!
The debate is not about the result. Clottey's uppercuts were effective, whether he got the decision or not. You claim his uppercuts were not effective, but then say Pacquiao was caught clean by Clottey's uppercuts...that criteria equates to clean, effective scoring in favour of Clottey, does it not?
good chin is a ***** to deal with. Opponents have to be smart enough to find a way to land bodyshots. Anyone can be hurt through their body.
look at where that punch lands. Not on the chin, not on the temple. Look at how Pac is guarding his chin with his right glove. Pac's defense is unconventional but also very underrated. He is hard to hit with clean, effective punches. Don't compare Khan to Pac, their defence is not on the same level.
cotto was landing big bodyshots but you cant see pac getting hurt and remember, cotto is one of the best body punchers out there!
Sure he is easy to hit but if you hit him guarantee double or triple is coming right back at you. In every fight at WW he has answered when hit and totally punished the unlucky opponent. At WW your a ****in victim when you fight Pac.
Still effective punches. So clean, very hard punches (any shot you like)...that don't effect a boxer, are ineffective punches? :think
I'm going to end this debate here. Every part of Pacquiao's game is underrated according to you at this point. He's that underrated, that he's overrated...by you anyway. You're very much a decent poster. But from the time I joined this site, until now...your bias towards Pacquiao has increased greatly. From a picture showing Pacquiao being hit with a clean uppercut, you have somehow analysed that he was rolling the shot (clearly missing with his own shot), whilst somewhat blocking it with his right glove......
it's not black or white. This is not amateur scoring. If a punch lands clean but has little effect, then it should be counted as such.
And how amny of those were effective punches?? He got hit with with some good body shots, a few uppercuts, some jabs, and that's about it. Compubox counts every punch whether effective or not.
