those are some good odds. Salido is a pretty damn good fighter. I like JuanMa a lot but he is hittable and a little bit chinny at times. He also loses focus. A KO loss is not out of the question at all.
Salido is going to get wrecked. Juanma is not chinny and he gained a lot of confidence in dismantling Marquez a few months ago. he has every skill set needed to demolish Salido. Your money would be better spent on Ortiz and McCloskey.
too late. good thing about odds like that is that you don't have to bet alot. Like I said, I like JuanMa, I think he can knock Salido out as well. But I think he is vulnerable.
The problem is Salido hasn't scored a significant knockout in all his career, he's beat down bums and nobodies, even with JuanMa's suspect whiskers I don't see Salido stopping him at all.
On Rummys challenge i noticed i was the only one too pick Salido... If i was in Vegas this is definitely a bet id take at those odds. Lopez should win but , if the Gamboa fight didnt take anything from Salido, i think he will come from behind and stop Lopez late... Hes looked really good and strong. Everyone thought i was crazy when i said Salido was gonna givve Gamboa hell, Salido is underrated.. He has slowed down but hes still an old vet, very strong for a fw, and is resilent, ballsy and can punch. The type of fighter that can give Lopez problems late, Lopez better not be overlooking him.
Lopez will be dangerous early, but i like Salido late... Even though Salido gave Gamboa a tough fight, he did take some big shots from a big puncher and has been around for along time... Theres a possibility Gamboa softened up Salido.... But what if the Salido who beat Guerrero shows up?
You obviously didnt watch Salido when he was in his prime. The reason Salido has a bad record is cause he had no amatuer career, turned pro as a teen and was matched tough... In like the last 8or 9 years his only losses are to or elite guys like Gamboa, Marquez and 1-1 with champion at the time Cristobal Cruz. He is a strong Fw, i remember in his prime he was moving up and beating Lw and knocking out JL,, He has always been underestimated, and obviously still is.. He has some good wins over guys he was suppose to lose too Regilo Tuur at JL and former champ Lamont Pearson highly touted contender and Salido dropped him and beat him decisevly,. Carlos Gerena former top contender at JL Lost Split decision to near prime and very good Cobrita Gonazalez (at Lw) Beasley ko 2 prospect and contender Fred Neal ko 3 hot prospect kod at JL Mtwaga knocked him out in 5 rounds, alot easier than Lopez did. Robert Guerero later changed to NC but originally won a wide decisiion. Im gonna laugh if this guy suprises once again.
Hes a strong guy, he was beating LW early on and even looked strong there , no one would fight him at fw. He has lost some speed and Lopez might tag him alot and be dangerous early,, but watch out for him in the mid to late rounds.
Lopez is a good fighter and big puncher, but he has glaring deficiencies... I think hes kind of overrated... Good win against Marquez but, Marquez was about to do something before his injury, and that was a battle worn Rafa who was moving up... He kod Luevano, but if Luevano had any power things would have been real tough for Lopez., Great Ko over Concepcion but again he had to get up.. Exciting fighter and very dangerous but imo hes not one of the elite pfp guys, like many think, hes a little vulnerable. If he does fight Gamboa i like like Yurokis big, i think Gamboa is elite (6th pfp).. Can you imagine if Morales,Barrera,Marquez were still at Fw? Theyd beat him up real bad. And i wont even bring up the Mtwaga fight.
