Other than Khan being ''complacent'', which we can only speculate on, what makes you so certain that McCloskey will definitely win? Surely you aren't basing your pick entirely on what you suspect Khan's mentality will be?

McCloskey wins, I put up any avatar of your choice for a month.

Of course I am. State of mind is a massive thing in boxing.

For there to be an upset, McCloskey needs to good for starters. But if he forces a proper fight and can cause problems for Amir, then Khan subconsciously won't be able to properly focus and this is where he gets clipped and probably put down.

Let's say straight away after the opening bell, Khan throws a triple jab combination and not one of them lands. Mentally, whether he's aware of it or not, this will affect him.

He can be in the best physical shape he thinks but he knows he hasn't had the best preparation for this fight and the place that's gonna show up most is in the ring.

Hardly seems fair for a 90/10 fight but... deal.

I'm sorry, I was under the impression you thought McCloskey was going to win...

You've got a point though, odds on Khan his last few fights have been terrible. I had a cheeky tenner on Maidana by KO rounds 9-12. Haven't seen the odds but may do something similar for McCloskey too...

I'm not a Khan fan in any way, but there is no real chance of him being defeated.

    Personally I predict another Salita.

In all seriousness, Khan should still win. But I do think if McCloskey turns up and doesn't freeze, he gives Khan problems and could well put him down.

I might be critical of Amir Khan but one thing you can't knock is his dedication and heart. This will probably see him through even if Paul McCloskey does put in the performance of his life. But I still think the timing could well be right for Dudey to cause another Khan upset.

    Translation:

If Khan wins: "Like I said all along, Khan only won because a fully focused Dudey didn't turn up. The occasion got to him. Otherwise he would have knocked Khan out.

If Khan loses: "I told you Khan would be humbled!

6/1 odds are tempting me to put a few quid on McCloskey. Khan is definitely beatable, whether it's by this guy I don't know.

My thinkin also. Really resent paying 15 quid for this, but the lure of the upset will no doubt cost my pocket. I have just a sneaky feelin for
McCloskey. If he can tough out the onslaught and maybe earn Kahns respect early then i can see his awkwardness and head movement causing Kahn lots of problems. We may get the blow out everyone is predicting, but if paul can close the distance, make kahn punch down, bring the fight down to his pace, make it scrapy.Frustrate and draw him on to a big left hand counter.......Big ask, but just maybe 15 quid will be well spent:happy

Wouldn't even waste your money mate. Khan will blow him out fast, he won't want to hang about.

McCloskey is well out of his depth here. Easy nights work for Khan, he knows it.

King Khan is going to prove you wrong as the storm of punches rain down on McCloskey. Then I'll bump this thread and you'll be forced to make a public apology to Khan and his fans

A public apology from me just for calling a fight wrong?

Personally I feel Amir's the one that needs to be apologising to his fans after expecting then to fork put £15 for this poor card.
