Stylistically do you think Margarito is a bad matchup for FLoyd, I think to beat a margarito you need to have considerable punhcing power to fend him off....very hard close fight for FLoyd.

    I see him UD COtto.

Margarito has proven himself to be a worthless fighter after he can't use loaded pads anymore. Mayweather easy UD.

Cotto gets smashed by uppercuts which is very open to and Mayweather can throw when willing with precise precision.

I like Margo and give him more credit than most... But he wouldnt be able to do nothing with Floyd... Margarito wouldnt be able to force his will or even land clean, certainly not more than one punch at a time... This would be a shut out, bad match for Margo....

I think Cotto would more competetive with Mayweather... He still loses but his body shots and jab will win him some rounds and might bother Floyd.. I think Cotto will be somewhat competetive but Floyd would win a clear decision. like 8 to 4 or 9-3 decision... Floyd might even score a kd late.

    Fantasy fight...Floyd kick their azz.

    The truth is:

Margarito: Well we not fighting to see who the best is.

Cotto: Well you see Cotto live in Puerto Rico.

i don't think AM will win more than 2 rounds against floyd. floyd will just counter him to death.

imo, cotto also loses but not as bad as margo.

Since when is Floyd an uppercut artist lately? Cotto would definitely give him a decent fight, but he's not the same anymore.

Margarito would probably get shut out, but his size, constant pressure and iron jaw could give Floyd some problems too.

Floyd would throw any punch he sees an opening for be it an uppercut, hook or straight right. It doesn't matter.

Floyd is an uppercut artist when the opportunity is there and vs Cotto it's there.

Margarito is a joke, and doesn't even deserve to held in the same sentence with Floyd or Pac (even before they decided to fight him).

Margarito is worthless and I apologize 150% to Shane for picking Margarito to KO him.

He's a cheater, he's a disgrace and he proved he's not as good as he really was as a cheat. Because is Margarito was as good as he was vs Cotto (and wasn't cheating) he would of beat Pacquaio but after that, we all knew the truth.

:nut He couldn't win a round on PAc with a 17lb weight advantage... he would have never beaten Pacquiao. He's made for Pacquiao stylistcally.

cheater or not, he could give Mayweather some issues. Big, non-stop pressure, and Floyd would not be able to hurt him.

Of course he never won a round, he's a ****ing cheater. Did I not just say that? :patsch

Margarito is a cheat, he has no chance and would represent 0 problems vs Floyd.

Without being a cheat, Margarito would be lucky to be .500

A fight with Margarito would play out in a similar way to the Baldomir fight.

I always felt that Cotto had the style and boxing ability to give Mayweather problems but I think a fight between them now is a year or 2 late for it to be competitive. Cotto is not the same fighter as before the Margarito fight.

If Margo fights like he did until Cotto, he gives the current Floyd, who doesn't run as much as he used to, a lot of problems just because of his workrate. It took Mosley eight rounds and a shitload of right hands to finally grind him down, I don't know if Floyd has the power to do it at all.

If Margo fights like he did since Shane, lower workrate, less menace, more mediocricity, he's just gonna get countered all night. Also, as big as Floyd is right now, he could just copy Shane's strategy and clinch a lot.

Cotto before Margarito had little chance against Floyd, but he had mental poise. He would have pushed and tried to bully him. Since Margarito, Cotto seems to be more timid and he has said that he wants to box more, having apparently realised that at 5'7" he's not really a big guy after all. But he can't hope to win a boxing match with Floyd. Floyd has shown a lack of killer instinct in his last fights, so I don't think he will KO Cotto, whose knees buckle easily, but who is hard to put down.

    I see Mayweather UD12 Margarito/Cotto, probably both around 118-110.

I think both are good fights money wise, and great tune up fights for a possible Pac fight, which is why floyd may possibly take them, but he is too advanced for either of them and would UD Marg, and possibly TKO Cotto (but more likely UD him too.
