Fighters who were KO'd in their careers, but had very good chins?

I don't think Douglas did give him a "vicious beating" at all. It was a brutal fight, but at no point was Tyson shipping serious punishment (until he got finished by a combination).

And Lewis wasn't going for the KO throughout the fight, he restrained himself to wearing Tyson down with a big shot here, a breather there, until he was ripe and ready to be KO'd.

No, I don't agree with you. Tyson had a good chin, but not a great one.

:nut My mind has been made up since I made the thread, and it still is. Sitting on the canvas with a clear head choosing not to get up is not being KNOCKED OUT - do you know what KNOCKED OUT actually means you ****ing imbecile?!:lol::lol:

Douglas put on accumulative punishment and had to dish out a lot of it in order to stop Tyson.

Yes Lewis didn't look for the ko but it was still a beating and Tyson took many big shots altogether.

Watch the fights I recommended. No one in Tyson's prime or close to it stopped him in the early rounds and he fought good/above average punchers in Bruno, Smith, Ruddock, and to an extent Holyfield. When he wasn't old & faded, his opponents had to beat Tyson to a pulp in order to stop him so that's why I say he has a great chin. Also, the one's I mentioned were far from feather-fisted.

Tyson took some serious punishment before getting stopped. He had a good chin.
He quit in the third fight. Not exactly a KO.
He got knocked down and decided to stay down.

    Well **** me

Body shot. He had a great chin. and Pacquiao was the only one to stop him but i cant remember him being really hurt.
How many times was he even knocked down ?

Bruno hurt Tyson badly. I have seen all of the fights you have mentioned. I don't believe Tyson had a great chin, he had a good chin. He was either badly rocked or stopped numerous times by a mixture of good and very good punchers.

    Oscar Dela Hoya

A fighter who started at out at super Featherweight, and It had to take one of the best 160 pounders of all time to be the FIRST one to stop him ( Via Body Shot btw)

Then by time he got into the ring with Pacquaio he was far past his best ( Which was very visible in the forbes fight ) and to top it all off he came into the fight weakened/Sluggish. Despite all that,He took a beating and took everything Pacquiao hit him with for 8 rounds straight before his corner stepped in. Pacquiao is knowned as a very Hard puncher Yet Dela hoya never dropped once or even took a knee.

Past prime or not, either way That man always had a Great chin on him.

I think he was more badly TKO'd in the 2nd fight. He kind of surrendered before it got bad in the 3rd, In the 2nd he got dismantled in that 10th round and had to be saved.
