At nearly £5 a pop now,the Ring has three pages devoted to round card gilrs in bikinis,,now I have no objection to looking at pretty women, but a boxing mag should be about boxers don't you think?

What do you expect?? It's DeLaHomo's magazine now. I remember recently when The Ring put out an article asking fans to lay off Hopkins for avoiding Dawson. I figured Hopkins probably wrote the article himself.
Maybe you misunderstood me: the article was telling fans to STOP CRITICIZING Hopkins for not fighting Dawson.
Remember when Nat Fleischer was still alive, The Ring would have a paragragh on the subscription page stating that each issue is an issue that a person can be proud to buy and to show anyone. The Ring Card girls looks great but not in a boxing magazine.
Newspapers and Magazines are fading out here in 2011. The damn web has taken much of the business all away. BUT! I was thinking of subscribing to KO magazine again if they are still in business just to see how bad the mag has dipped... I gave up mags back around 2005...:deal MR.BILL:hat
I enjoyed the Ko magazine and suscribed to it , [especiallly the head to head articles ,]but alas it has folded .
Me too , your recipe would be mine as well,it is a shallow glossy pic fest now ,couldn't they do what they used to ,reprint articles by the likes of ,Bill Heinz,Jimmy Cannon and Red Smith?
They should have the girls on their website...and go back to better articles...more about greats of the past...1 article about some past great...and I agree about the big glossy pictures. The ODLH, Hopkins ass kissing turns me off.
