Barry Hearn - "Any respect I had for Amir Khan just went out the window"

Well Hearn, where your fighter nods his head at the Doctor, that's what DLH, Roach and Khan assumed.

He should look at the tossers on McCloskey's team claiming that they'd have knocked Amir Khan out in the next couple of rounds. How about that?

I've only had one viewing, but when the doctor/ref asked him about the cut, McCloskey didn't seem to respond very well. It was only when the corner started kicking a fuss, that he began protesting,

But whatever happened, the referee was way too quick to wave it off. He should have let him continue. Poor decision

 

There is not a snowballs chance in hell McCloskey would have wanted out of that fight. Laz, McCloskey was not winning that fight but he was not that far behind, Khan was looking awful, and there is no ****ing way that that fight should have been stopped because of that cut!

I don't normally agree with Barry Hearn, but tonight I do, that was an absolute joke!

 

McCloskey needs to stfu and beat someone from the top 10 to be back into contention for a world title, He got outclassed each and every round and was down in round 4, the stoppage was the decision of the doctor and ref.

I watched the stoppage again...McCloskey clearly shakes his head to the doctor. His team waited for the fight to be stopped before they kicked up a big fuss.
