Khan v Mccloskey / Ortiz v Berto/Lopez v Salido Rbr thread..

Showtime broadcast starts at 10:30pm Eastern US time (3:30am UK)
It starts with Cruz-Honorio. If that goes the distance, Lopez-Salido won't be until about 11:30 EST (4:30am UK)

HBO broadcast starts at 9:45pm EST (2:45am UK).
They'll show Khan-McCloskey, which should take until about 10:15.

So Berto-Ortiz will probably start around 10:30pm EST (3:30am UK) and directly conflict with Cruz-Honorio, ending before Lopez-Salido starts.

 

Nice good to see Negron is going well. Really wish he stayed at the lower weight though he would of been a real tough fight for anyone at cruiser with his physical advantages. Looked very lean at Cruiser as well so hopefully he isn't getting lazy.

Think I'll skip Khan vs Dudey.

For the record, the first few Top Rank undercard bouts (the 4-rounders) were better entertainment than the entire Primetime card. :good

Neither his appearance nor his conditioning were worrying. He's quite fit for a heavyweight.

He just might not have the one-punch power to compete up there, it seems.

 

My point was....Lynes landed a better quality shot than Amir Khan did in 6 rounds. That's exactly what I said in the post mentioning Colin Lynes, Amir Khan and Paul McCloskey, surprisingly enough, and now I'm saying it again. Maybe the second time it will sink in...I'm not sure how many times I can say this in different ways fellas.

The general point is, Amir Khan's quality was shite tonight. He hardly landed a snappy punch all night. It was all bull**** smoke and mirrors windmilling.

 

I didn't see the McCloskey-Lynes fight so will have too take your word on that, but I here were you are coming from Khan was poor tonight and for a supposed elite p4p fighter he did not show much skill in breaking down Paul. Maybe if it had gone on for a few more rounds he would of worked him out or what more likely would of happened, we would have had to watch more frustrating, technically poor, "action".

 

Yeah even at Cruiser Negron didn't seem to have a huge punch.

Just seen Bellator is starting that should keep me entertained for a while

I think it would of got worse and worse. He had 6 rounds to figure out a method and didn't. If anything they'd get more sloppy as they got more tired.

A disapointing nights boxing, lets hope this fight can make up for it somewhat.
