Surely the fact you added in a few Cubans shows its in a bit of bother. You ain't claiming Gavin though :nono
If you don't give a **** about Carl Frampton then jog on ****rag :deal because this is not the thread for you
It's a shame I enjoyed the cards RTE were putting on and it was nice to see a renaissance in the game in Ireland, it will be interesting to see how the Boxing scene in Ireland progresses over the next 12 months or so.
rte wont be showing any pro boxing till at least 2012. Irish boxings still very healthy. Yes 3 losses but did anyone really think wed get a win out of those fights? All 3 were to top tier fighters rather than weak champions. Frampton is prob the only prospect that looks like he can definitely go on to world class but domestically the scene is still buzzing. Alio is putting on another show next month, hylands have a show lined up and dolphil will probably announce something soon. Spike and Ormonde are with Warren, Dean Byrnes in the UK and Kavanagh is doing his thing with golden boy. The scene is still very healthy. Couple that with the amateurs who will be looking to at least equal the medal haul from Beijing come next year and the subsequent turn overs and its very bright indeed. Granted if youre looking for a true world class fighter we dont have one but imo the scene is very healthy. The only downside being that with rte not interested its going to go back to all the quality lads going to England and the States
Bam Bam is spot on. Nothing wrong with Irish boxing, in fact better than it has ever been. RTE budget is shot. No short term money, fights cannot be arranged a year in advance. And Palmer, don,t worry your hole about it your phony ****er.
no, i couldnt give a feck if he says he's british or irish its something you lot seem to wet your pants about.
since I'm the only person to mention it tonight I'd like to know who you mean by 'you lot'? feel free to go **** yourself anytime by the way
So is he done with McGuigan then? Great that means he will be out a maximum of 4 times in the next 12 months, just what you don't want to see from a hot prospect coming through the ranks.
Think Barry is still his manager. Also with Match room and their growing stable they should definitely be picking up more dates on Sky.
Bed wetting is something you can grow out of and seeing your avator makes me wonder whos the flag flying wannabe.
To many promoters, fighters at the moment in the UK so Matchroom won't be getting more than 10/11 dates a year (not including Prizefighter), which means that unless they give Carl special treatment he will be out 4/5 times at best.
