AT LEAST as far back as 2007, that I can verify, he has knocked down every opponent he's ever faced, if not knocked them out.

He may be the best 6-round fighter in the sport.

Thanks bro, I think so too. If I'm ANYONE at welter, I want to give this kid a wide berth. He looked scary-determined in there tonight.

Not in a Peterson fight and did he knock down Nate Campbell?

Yeah ortiz is a fast starter, I knew this coming into tonights fight... I was afraid he was going to fade in the middle rounds and let andre take over! Boy was I wrong..

He knocked both Peterson and Campbell down.

Thought the Peterson fight was more exciting than your average fight personally. Campbell not as much so, but he can't be in a white knuckle thrill ride every fight, even Gatti wasn't.

He did score a KD against Campbell I believe, might not have been legit from what I recall but the ref called it.

I'm no Victor fan, but his mentality coming into the fight tonight impressed me. You don't see fighters coming into fights like that much.

He went from looking like a goofy kid you want to slap around to a bearded serial killer.

I started a thread a few months back about the hardest punchers at 140, of course Maidana was winning by a landslide and hardly anybody voted Ortiz, to which I brought up this very stat.

Admittedly, in the Campbell fight, the KD he scored was contraversial.

Good eye. I noticed it earlier today when I got to thinking about how good of an early starter he is.. then went and verified on boxrec and sure enough that's the case.
