did leonard gave his best against camacho, did julio cesar chavez gave his best against wiley.. it happens to all the greats is normal in boxing.. this is a sport where you cant retire quietly into the sunset if you hang around too long you'll get knockout..

    :hat

yea but calderon was saying how this time he feels a lot better and is more conditioned than last time etc. etc. etc. blah blah blah....

if you lose in your last fight before you retire, it's not a problem. The problem comes when a fighter doesn't even try. if you're not going to give it your all....you shouldn't even bother going into the ring.

ps. the chavez example is not the same. chavez was 42 years old, not 36 like calderon. Chavez had over 100 fights when he fought wiley, not 36 like calderon, and chavez was already struggling with drugs and alcohol by that time.

What is missing from pr boxing is good training or good trainers. Juanma really doesn't know what he is doing in the ring. There are no trainers in pr even close to being on the level of people like berenstein or Garcia. I mean how would you even classify juanma's style at this point.

Is Miguel Cotto really your 2nd best fighter of all time? I think that pretty much settles this rivalry.

I am not coming in here talking **** because JUANMA did not go out like a ***** kneeling down before a Mexican...

He went out like a warrior and like this I can honestly say, good fight PR....

Gave a good performance against the better man.. that is why you don't pick on smaller mexicans (Marquez) and call yourself great.
