Kinda feel bad for JuanMa but it serves Top Rank right. I said all along that postponing JuanMa-Gamboa only risks one of them getting upset and it could've happened to Gamboa just as well, he just dag deep in tough moments vs. Barros and Salido. This is sweet ****ing science, the only thing you can guarantee is someone getting punched in the face, you don't build-up two flawed KO artists for years.

The ONLY reason JuanMa-Gamboa was marketable was both being undefeated punchers, "someone's O has to KTF-O" is great, "somebody's 1 already gone" is a no go. To make things worse, JuanMa lost in Puerto Rico which is terrible marketing-wise, Arum never does too much promoting just signs someone from a live market and lets the home country do the media hype, and Mexicans/Puerto Ricans will buy the tickets.

Salido was no joke, he comfortably outboxed Guerrero before a controversial post-fight drug testing scandal (tested positive afterwards but gave the next day a sample to an independent testing facility which came back negative), he's the kind of fighter that isn't outstanding in any way but is rock solid and tricky and will upset you if you leave mistakes out there and did exactly what Rubio and Gonzalez last week. It in their blood.

You gotta love boxing. It is a sport once inside the ring.

Yeah there was no reason for Gamboa-Lopez to wait, both were to flawed to get through a long building up process.

But I dont think Arum ever intended on making the fight happen. He really doesnt see much financial upside in Gamboa. It's JuanMa he really believed in, due to the PR market.

Now he has to rebuild Juanma, and who knows if he will ever be the same. He was getting hit with WAY too many right hands.

If Shane pulls the trigger in May, oh boy! Expect Arum to be on suicide watch.
(Top Rank falling apart real quick)

    yeah..

bob arum can still keep this fight in house.

One of these fighters is still getting knocked out. the fight can still happen but I think its going to be a Nonito-Gamboa Showdown!!!

I have been saying this since Juanma looked GOD AWFUL vs Penalosa and Matagwa. He gets into these Slug-Fest with lesser Opponents. And I just knew that this All-Out Brawl style cause him to lose and make a fight with Gamboa LESS-ATTRACTIVE. I have been saying it, Posting about it and Making Threads about this for the pass 16 months. I think the smart thing for Arum to do now, is to capitalize on the Grudge-Match and Feud between Juanma and Caballero. Both are coming off losses....Best Scenario for Arum's *****-ass now.

I love it when big fights aren't made and someone upsets the gravy train.

**** Bob Arum, the slimey corrupt lawyer trying to make money off of fighters.

Make the ****ing big fights. He is a disgrace. The sooner he dies, the better.

The way Lopez fans jumped on Caballero following a loss vs. a forced opponent in a forced division now sounds hilarious. **** happens in boxing. You can lose these fights and Lopez and Caballero have UNFINISHED BUSINESS! :deal
That was not necessary man. :-(

Give Lopez a rematch or Cabellero.

    It's still a great fight.

    but yeah, **** Bob Arum.

Arum can control everything and anything he wants outside the ring, putting together fights he feels makes him the most money and pissin about with fights and fighters that wont even if they are the best fights to make.

But he cant get in the ring while his fighters are getting twatted, hahaha fat wanker.

What, a promoter is suppossed to put shows on and promote fighters for free is he?

****off you douche bag. If it weren't for promoters putting on shows and promoting boxing, fighters would be robbing people on the street or in jail as 99% are as dum as dog **** and wouldn't get anywhere in life.

Contendo its not the fights hes making thats the problem, its the fights he ISNT, most promoters pin their hopes on fighters to become stars and make them money but there lies the gamble, Arum gets these guys and plays his own personal games of cash chess with them.

He keeps his guys in and out of the RIGHT fights.

When I was watching I was hoping JuanMa would get a gift and Arum would cash him out against Gamboa, now Gamboa has no big fight, which sucks
