I called it before the fight when I saw how drained Berto looked. I told everyone that he wasn't in shape. Everyone said "but he's in the shape of his life". I posted comparison pictures to back it up and was told I don't know **** about boxing.

Well now that Berto had the snot beat out of him and was bullied into submission can we agree that Ortiz wanted it more? He came in better shape and thats what won him the fight, pure activity.

I would love to see a rematch ASAP. I think the fans deserve it and it would raise both their stock to have another war or two.

Finally I'd want to see Berto take his training more seriously the next time around. Whatever he did, whatever was wrong with his conditioning, he looked drained before he entered the ring and looked weak in the legs through most of the fight.

And while he did keep his power, and had enough power to finish Ortiz off, he just couldn't land to the body. He was head hunting and this is ultimately why he lost even with inferior physical conditioning.

Ortiz by knockout if there is a rematch.................Ortiz should never allow Ortega to every referee one of his fights again!

Yea, berto lost pretty bad. . .

but i like how everyone is making it sound like it was easy for Ortiz to do..

I mean, unless I was watching some other fight. . .didnt Ortiz get dropped twice as well? point being. . . he didnt walk trough berto like you guys make it sound. . . and celebrate it up now, because when Ortiz gets fed to someone of a real elite level hes going to get decapitated

Ortiz put on a truly inspiring effort.

That kid took some huge punches and marched forward with conviction.

I was live for maidana/ortiz, maidana's punches would ring through audience. Loud/hard punches that would make you cringe.

I think Ortiz put on a performance that will be a staple of his career.

    still. . . u miss the point.

how long will he keep that title?

hes just as glass jawed as berto, and this celebration of his win over a hype job will be short lived.

Yea he did get his ass whipped. It seemed like he got rocked damn near every round. Ortiz was putting leather on his ass. I have to give it to Berto for never quitting. Even though he lost he still dropped Ortiz twice.

Well, just goes to show how overated Berto is and how underated Kell Brook is, some people saying brook should fight top domestic fighters like graig Watson who got his lights switched off in rd 5 last night. Let Brook fight the winner or loser of this fight then at least the critics can crow in confidence if he loses. Just give the guy his chance.
