i didnt see it cause i refused to pay 15 quid but according to my mate it was pretty bad from what i remember he said "are you ****ing kidding me this is a disgrace i ****ing hate khan now how the **** could this happened" anyone care to explain how this last round with the head butts went and maybe a picture of the cut?
Dude, your mate is an idiot if he's blaming Khan for what happened. Basically, the last round saw Khan getting through more and more, and had him rocked pretty badly. Paul recovered very well, and continued the posing he'd been doing the previous 5 rounds. Then both heads meet in the middle, with Paul coming off the worst. He had no idea what was going on when the referee/doctor asked him how he was feeling, and was hardly giving a positive response. The referee waved it off, Paul began walking back to his corner without protesting. But then his corner got in the ring, told Paul that his cut wasn't that bad, and then they all started kicking a fuss.
this, except he was stunned not badly rocked, McClowsky just avoivded all the punches without trying to land consistently, khan wanted to finish the fight with one punch, i personally feel he underrated McClosky
We don't know for sure that the doctor asked McCloskey how he felt. He could just as well have told him that it was a bad cut and that he was stopping it. Either way I don't really care about it now because McCloskey showed a poor performance except his defense which was pretty good. If the cut wouldn't have occurred Khan would've won a decision 120-108.
Surely one of the things he would ask is how he was feeling? He needs to if he and the ref are to determine whether he was fit enough to continue.
i notice this alot in the uk when khan fights tho the barrera fight shuda been stopped in the first round but then a cut like that stops a fight!!! its why i dont like important fights in the uk ok not so big for khan but this was a huge opportunity for mccloskey one that he may never get again
