    Threads like this continue to show how important Mayweather is to the sport of boxing. Love him or hate him people are obsessed with him and everything that he does so much that you see pathetic threads and news article everyday talking about minute things such as "Mayweather bet on the bulls". Mayweather is the biggest draw in the sport.

    The point of this thread was actually to show how the public perception has of Mayweather has shifted. When the Pac/May fight first fell apart, Pac fans sided with Pac ands Floyd fans with Floyd - everyone else was kinda sat in the middle. But as things have gone on pretty much every neutral fan has figured who is really holding the fight up, and the only people behind Floyd now are his legion of devoted fan boys. Hence turning up to a boxing show in your own country and getting booed and having the crowd chant Pacquiao's name.

    Also, it's interesting because of how it will affect him. People have come in this thread saying **** like "he don't care he's got loads of money . . ." Well that's bull****. This is the same man who broke down into tears at a post fight press conference because he does not feel appreciated - he clearly cares a whole lot about what people think about him. That booing will have hurt his ego. He's the self proclaimed star of boxing, he attends a boxing show with his friends, the big screen show his picture and the crowd start booing him


    And as for Floyd's importance in boxing, that importance begins and ends with Pacquiao. All that people want from Floyd is him in the ring with Manny - he needs to **** or get off the pot. They don't want to see him come back for cash back and cruise to a UD over someone no where near his class - they want the Pacquiao fight. That's his only relevance
