This quote from Bob Arum really takes the cake. He needs to realize that you can't have your cake and eat it, too. Making the fight between Lopez and Gamboa should've been a piece of cake, and the icing on the cake is that it would've done huge numbers as well.

Lopez may come back strong and his star could shine again. It could still be a big fight.
    :| Lopez !

Bittersweet. The massive shaft Salido put up Bob's ass is great, but at the end of the day Arum is still rich and we the fans won't see Juanma against Gamboa for a long, long time. I'd like to think this will be a lesson to young fighters to make the megafights when they can, but it probably won't be.

Props to Salido for believing in himself and pulling it off.

It wasn't a superfight to begin with if one of them couldn't establish dominance. I have no problem with a potential superfight being derailed because of proper competition. That's how boxing is supposed to work. Forcing fights to work around pre-determined story lines and hype are what cause problems in boxing today.

Look at this bobtard trying to justify his hero's greed. I'm sure you were confident of Juanma building his name because you knew bobby was gonna give lopez the decision right? how'd that work out?

It went from millions to at most 100,000 dollars..

Gamboa is doing the right thing. Sign with Mayweather Promotions. Arum was trying to throw Gamboa under the bus by having him fight 2 weight classes above him.

    makes no damn sense.
