Paul showed brilliant defence but absolutely no offence, I still think he can win a world title.

People saying McCloskey could have KO'd him late in the fight need to get a grip. Maidana couldn't get Khan out of there late in the fight, McCloskey had no chance of doing it.

I agree Elvis. The fight shouldn't have been stopped but the best McCloskey was getting was a 116-112 type UD if he could have snatched the later rounds. I don't see how he could have done that without changing his tactics though.

As Brenny says the defence made Khan look like a mug at times but you've got to have more coming back than hopeful hail mary attempts. I would have liked to see Paul get the chance to finish the distance because I don't think Khan was likely to hurt him much. However to think there was any real likelihood of McCloskey stopping Khan in the second half of the fight is stretching credibility a bit too much.

didnt you say he wouldnt make it out of the first three rounds? its almost like you had an agenda going into this fight against mccloskey, you really gave him no chance and almost resented anyone who did... just an observation.. anything can happen in boxing, khan isnt the terminator just because he ate some shots off maidana and didnt crumple into a heap. mccloskey hurt him twice.

Yes, I said he wouldn't make it out of the first three rounds. Got that wrong but I was correct in that he'd be dominated. I don't resent people who said he'd beat Khan, just couldn't understand why. And I was cheering on McCloskey so I've no agenda. I just don't think he's a world class boxer. You're the one that seems to have the agenda. McCloskey didn't throw any punches to hurt Khan. Khan was in no way hurt at any stage of the fight.

Where was Paul's Naz-like uppercut? And what about Khan turning southpaw Mr.Fountain of boxing knowledge?

paul boxed well but still just didnt do enough to win any of the rounds would of like to see what would happen if it went to the later rounds but i think khan would of won by a wide UD

Just back from manky Manchester. Gutted. Was surprised/disappointed with Dudey's tactics. He was far too negative and didn't throw enough. Obviously he didn't want to be too offensive and risk getting caught with a flurry of punches, but you have to find a balance.

All the comments made about his weak defence seemed to be off the mark, as Khan was missing with loads of shots. However, Khan was winning all the rounds quite easily, apart from the 3rd which was close. Dudey seemed happy enough to try to make Khan look silly (which he did a few times) instead of going on the front foot and tire him by keeping him occupied. Thought Dudey was buzzed in the 5th and did well to hold it together. The place was bouncing and it would have been nice to see it go the distance and see if Dudey could have buzzed him at some point. Khan UD was always on the cards, and that would have been no disgrace for Paul.

Obviously it was a joke of a decision, but I thought Barry Hearn was bang out of order the way he acted in the ring. "Team Khan" were an even bigger disgrace though and they have hardly won over any fans with their behaviour. They have been a shower of incompetent, clueless, classless *******s from the outset. I'm sure more people than ever will be hoping Bradley sparks Khan out cold. Myself included

What are you on about Pat Breen? You have been shown up as a dung-talker here.
Sorry to hear Murray was poor. WTF has happened him and where is his career going?

 You're completely oblivious to your own stupidity. You've shown yourself up to be completely ignorant, and a hypocrite. I expect you to keep this trend up, only, word of advice, come up with better remarks in your attempts to sound intelligent, because the ones you're coming out with are cringeworthy.

Last night's atmosphere was fúcking epic. The arena was dead during the undercard, but that changed when the headline approached. I've never experienced an atmosphere like it. Dunne/Cordoba was quiet compared to it. When Dudey entered the ring with that tricolor waving, jaysus it made the hair stand on the back of the neck. I was on the edge of my seat for the six rounds of boxing.

The end was a disgrace. It was one of the worst stoppages I've seen. The cut was minor and was not interfering with Dudey's vision. Jaysus Morales fought last week with one eye closed for most of the fight. Look at Pavlik's eyes v Martinez, they were way worse than Dudey's paper cut. I'm not saying McCloskey would have won (he would have most likely lost). He rightly lost the first six rounds. Dudey wasn't given the full oppurtunity to win. I prefer a lad to lose fair and square, like the way Big Bang did. At least you can accept that.

The Irish fans again showed what a class bunch they are. Any other nationality would have trashes the place after that "stoppage".

Hopefully Dudey can get a world level boxer like Kotelnik in the ring next.....
