Nicky Cook just said on his FB he has a big fight on May 21st. Frankie Gavin said his next opponent was a big step up which would put him in contention for a title. Does anyone think Nicky Cook is Gavins opponent?

    I'd be surprised.

Cook is naturally quite a bit smaller and hasn't fought for two years.

I'd like Gavin to stay at 147 and clean up domestically before moving up to world level.

Bloody hope not, Nicky was a career super-feather and Gavin handled Lomax at welter. Hopefully Frankie's opponent is a proper light welter.

How about Mitchell-Cook at 135? :hey

I'd love to see Gavin against Daws. Could be the ideal opponent to showcase Frankie, as Daws if not anything else will always come to fight.

Cook would be a bit of a joke.

I wanna' see Frankie Vs McCloskey now, he'd do a good job on him I reckon.

Daws or Theopane otherwise. Hope Frankie remains at 140, that's where he looks best suited at the mo' IMO.

Gavin needs to fight for the English, British and Commonwealth pronto. He is good enough to make the step up.

I'd love to see him fight McCLoskey now. I'd pick Gavin no probs, not that I don't rate Paul.
