Like I said BS decision... Vic beat himself that night if anything.. he coasted because he thought he did enough to win and although he actually did, the blind judges thought other wise!

 

I scored it a draw when it happend live. I had no problem with it, Peterson fought back extremely well and got Ortiz's respect with his ability.

I thought that that shot that dropped him in the second was there all night for berto
Floyd would stick that jab preventing ortiz from coming in
He can also fight in the pocket, do that little push with his left elbow in the inside and then catch ortiz with his right as ortiz lunges in
Though I think for him to have a chance of beating money, he needs to apply all out pressure cause theres no way he'll outbox him, but ironically him being TOO aggressive will be his downfall

 

The only WW I see giving Floyd problems is Mike Jones because he is tall and fights tall with the way he pumps his jab. If Mike had started earlier I would say he is like a new Vernon Forrest.

I think Floyd would actually stop ortiz late. Talk about an easy night for floyd, those wild winging punches would all catch air. ortiz would tire big time and get stopped, likely cry after as well.

 

FLoyd would never get in the ring with Ortiz. He is not past his prime and actually belongs at 147!

 

People are forgetting about Floyd's inactivity and his age when thinking about his possible matchups in the future. He's gifted but he's still 33. He will have slowed maybe slightly more than he has in his recent fights. He'll still be very quick but I wouldn't exect him to use a lot of lateral movement. Even with aging, Floyd is still on another class from Ortiz and would make him look silly. Ortiz can be countered coming in and Floyd would utilize that very well. We don't know how much Floyd really has left as he only fights once a year. Horrible idea on his part if he wishes to continue his boxing career. He needs that Pacquiao fight more than anything though.

 

Good fight and I think Ortiz wins a couple of rounds, but he's a front runner. No matter what, Do not get tired against Mayweather. As soon as you do, an ass whooping is following. Ortiz is a perfect tune-up for Pacquiao though because of his stance, power, speed and work rate he showed early in the fight.

Floyd will break him down though in the end and when he starts to gas, Mayweather will break dat ass :good

Floyd taking a tune-up in July will not postpone the fight with Pacquiao.
So he might as well get practice in and some more money. Whether he fights in July or not, he's gonna fight Pac in November

 

Floyd would box Ortiz' ears off - possibly stopping him late.

As a tune up this fight might just happen. I see him beating Ortiz then taking his title, fight Pac and take his as well. Making him the 147lb king. If he's going to fight a tune up then Ortiz is his man.
