Does McCloskey Deserve A Rematch With Khan?

Of course, we should give McCloskey another chance to execute his game plan of losing 11 rounds then knocking out Khan in the 12th.

Put simply, No. He was very unlucky with the stoppage without doubt. But he didn't win a round and you couldn't see him winning the fight at all.
At the end of the day it was a dull fight and the public wouldn't be interested in a rematch.
I would say Paul showed enough to keep him fighting on the world stage, but who's gonna wanna fight a tricky southpaw that's hard to look good against.
I'd just like to say that i thought Khan looked like he had gone backwards technique wise last night and he showed amateur tendencies once again. How much that had to do with McCloskey i don't know?

At times I'm not sure if Audley is either one of the greats, one of the worst or a very well rehearsed drama student pulling one of the biggest pranks in spporting history. :blood

 

McCloskey did nothing...?

Fair play to Khan - he won every round and was on top but lets be honest folks, everyone was well aware that McCloskey's plan was to be ellusive in the early rounds and look for a late stoppage. If you call that doing nothing then you know **** all about boxing.

Khan won every round, there is no doubt about that but watch the fight again and see how much McCloskey made him miss and watch how McCloskey controlled the centre of the ring. The likely outcome would have been a UD for Khan but we'll never know what might have happened from round 9 onwards when McCloskey would have had to have gone for it

 

He deserves it because he was robbed of his opportunity. Would he win? No. Would i want to watch? Not really.

 

He needs to go back to fighting chumps on RTE.
He looks great, commentators jizz, Irish eyes are smiling, Hearn makes easy money, McCloskey makes money.

Everybody wins.

Becuase if I remember, Paul said HIMSELF that his plan was to box Amir and hopefully get a UD or a possible late TKO.
