Khan says no to rematch-what you think of the irish support lads

Very good travelling support, apart from the 'cheat' rubbish. I was also surprised at how good the reception for Khan was. Expected far more boos but he got a great reception.

 

A rematch?Who in their right mind would pay to see McCloskey fight Khan again.The Irish dude is not in the same league as Khan.He is a B level fighter at best.atsch

 

At least half the Arena would pay to see the fight again. I'm sure there would be many more intrigued punters?

 

If McLoskey promised to throw a punch next time I might bother myself to watch.

The aftermath of this fight has brought out the bad, whingeing, wallowing aspect of the Irish character. And I speak as someone proud of my Falls Road roots. What happened to the Fighting Irish?

McCloskey doesn't deserve your support. He had his chance and didn't have the balls to take it.

The Irish support in the arena was great granted, but its generally true that any passionate fan support has a neanderthal, one-eyed herd element - and it's certainly the case here.

But he wasn't outclassed in the way people thought he would be either. Khans only lost a handful of rounds in his career.

 

Really proud to be Irish and a part of the amazing Irish support, Who else would Khan have fought as a "Coming Home" fight and sold as many tickets?? he couldnt even sell the place out! I went over there just hoping McCloskey wouldnt get blown away in the 1st few rounds, that he would weather the storms and go into the late rounds and have a punchers chance and I think it was looking that it would go into the late rounds. I have nothing negative to say about McCloskeys performance or do I feel i didnt get my moneys worth he performed exactly how i expected and looked pretty comfortable. Ive lost so much respect for Freddie Roach to be honest i hate the **** now, to say Khan would stop him in 4 and that he wanted to quit...Well Freddie **** YOU!!

 

well to be honest mate it just sets Khan up for a bigger fall, the chap is deluded, Thinking he can fight Mayweather, seriously whats that about??? Mayweather would fight him as a tune up fight at best, a tune for Paul Spadafora at that!! He could hardly hit McCloskey at times whos footwork isnt great and he thinks he could fight Floyd get real!

 

I agree that saying he was robbed is a bit strong, but you have to admit that it was a bull**** decision from the ref and doctor.

 

khan won every second of that fight and you could tell from his body language he was not interested at all! Khan just wanted to get it over with and we saw 25% of the real Khan. No interest in a re-match at all and vs Bradley were see a different fighter all together. But i hope McCloskey sorts his style out!! he could make it as a wrold champion if he looses the fear in the ring against world class fighters and sacks the coach and works with someone who will work on his defence!

 

Especially in comparison to Morales the week before who couldn't see out of one eye. I just found it a bit football fan like, but guess that's the case with the crowds for 'big' fights, noone around me even knew it would go to a decision.

You cant just come out with statments like 'Amir Khan was operating at 25% in there' and not expect to get laughed at. Khan said himself he trained like the underdog challenger for this fight. Face it, he looked shite despite how you may think McCloskey looked....

Khan will lose against Bradley, no doubt in my mind. When the fight comes up I am putting big money on a bradley win.
