McCluskey looked like a man with a plan to me. As others said, holding the centre of the ring, swaying like an old master at peace with himself in the peak of his career. Just being all round ring general. There's no doubt he would've had Khan on ***** street at some point. He has concussive power that eventually tells. The corrupt ref and doctor saw to it that Dudey never got the chance to execute the game plan.

Honestly, Barrera with that huge cut refused for the fight to be stopped. McCloskey should have pleaded to go on. He was so calm about it all because he knew he was a defeated man. He was getting tagged more often and Khan was getting onto him.
God...i wished i hadnt seen the first 6 rounds...please don't let them get a rematch.....AS far as I'm concerned he can get in queue behind Maidana, MAB, and Limond (add Prescott too) for a rematch.

**** poll.... Its unfinished business like Steve Collins said. Khan was getting made to look a fool at times, and McCloskey did (to mee) look dangerous. Just because hes akward and was drawing Amir onto punches with his ****ed up stance.. I believe he had a very good chance of KO'ing Khan as the fight went on. I still believe Khan has a suspect chin that will haunt him again in his career. But i give credit to Khan still. I dont belive he wanted the fight to end like that. Amir needs to sort his desrespectful team out though. They are a discgrace
Mcloskey should not get a rematch but anyone defending the stoppage is either a khan fanboy or a mccloskey family member who care about him so much that they ddin't want to see him take anymore punches. as a boxing fan i wanted it to go on so we could see a stoppage or khan take him to a decision by schooling him. but hey i like watching boxing what do i know.
No clearly he didn't intend to loose the first six rounds, talk some sense man, of course he would have preferred to have won at least 2 of those rounds. By loosing the first six rounds he essentially had no chance of winning on points and would have needed a KO However, I don't think McCloskey or Breen would have been overly concerned about the score cards... they said that Khan was at his most dangerous in the early rounds and McCloskey survived those rounds very well, better than Maidana or Salita. They were in as good a position as you could reasonably expect to be when your fighting a world class world champion in his homecoming fight i.e. not hurt, not marked (expect for the head butt) and dealing well with his agression. Obviously Khan was on top and they would have preferred that it was closer but I'm sure they were aware that they were unlikely to get a points win no matter what may have come to pass so they were right to stay cool and look for a gap and a late stoppage
