In all seriousness that sounds like typical Carribean Spanish and not the Spanish of Cervantez he seems normal--for now.

I think he has taken too many punches from Mtagwa and Salido. The fact that he cut so much weight in such a brief period is frightening and he better get his weight in check or retire.

If Arum makes the rematch he would effecitively end Juan Manuel's career.

I speak normal Caribbean Spanish, man, I didn't understand a word at 7:24-7:27.

I understand that but he normally speaks a lazy spanish

Carribeans are not known for enunciating all the letters of a word though

Yeah he definalytely does, the fact hes 27 doesnt disprove anything. I know a lot of young fighters who show these signs. I dont think hes any harder to understand than Mosley in 360 though

I was thinking the same thing. The shots he took especially the ones that caused the knockdown in round 5 were solid. As soon as I heard him speak in the post fight interview I immediately thought concussion. It's nothing he can't recover from, I actually thought the same thing about Berto during his interview and came to read today that he also suffered a concussion and was taken to the hospital.

Yup, he took a ton of powerful looping right hands and left hooks on every part of his head. He took a bad beating and has been taking a lot of punches recently....his time is very limited in the sport.

I noticed he was slurring his words just a bit. I'm sure that it was a combination of things. He ate a lot of right hands last night, was tired both physically and emotionally, and had a pounding headache.

Come on man, kind of a low blow.

I also had a real hard time understanding what the hell Juanma was saying as a native speaker. His PR accent from Caguas should not be enough to render him nearly incomprehensible. I don't think he slurs all the time, but he may just have sounded punchy not having recovered yet from being groggy for almost two rounds.
