Moving up to face a champion and grab a title six weight classes above the weight where you won your first title is GREAT.

It only looks average in light of his subsequent achievements.

    Isn't hindsight great !

Most were predicting he would get a career -ending beating in that one.

BTW, Oscar was NOT weight-drained in that fight.

Hatton was unbeaten at 140. And given the manner of the victory, a great win.

Come on, let's stop over exaggerating what Pac is done. When Pac finishes his career he'll likely be in the top 20. But just because he won a championship started his career earlier (illegally) and faced very weak comp. Doesn't make it any better. He was expected to dominate Diaz and did just that.

Oscar wasn't weight drained, Oscar was simply drained. He weighed less than Pac in the ring, simple as that. Oscar hasn't weighed that since he turned pro.

The problem is, the Hatton-Floyd fight, on fight night they both weighed in at what they would at 140. If you want to call it great, go for it but to me it's just under it.

There have been thousands and thousands of pro boxers, so that pretty much sums it up better than I could.

    Welcome aboard !

What Pac has done is great but some of his like all boxers, some victories deserve criticism. Simple as that.

    Example.

Like the Margarito fight. He's not truly an 8 weight class champion but on paper he is because he won a vacant title against a guy who was never champion at that weight to begin with.

I see him as having won titles in SIX weight classes spanning eight weight divisions.

And you see him as a top 20.

I'd say that makes him great.

Oh it definitely makes him great. Im merely pointing at certain victories. Such as the Margarito fight and his early career.

Pac is great, there is no doubt about it. His higher than Floyd, no doubt about it.

I love Pac, and as I love Floyd both deserve criticism.

Imagine if he did not skip 2 weight classes to jump to 122!!!! His resume would be crazy!!!! He byp[assed 115 and 118 but he could have gotten a belt there too.

You just make a post crying about how Manny doesn't get the recognition he deserves, then you make a statement saying that Mayweather is not anything. Kind of contradictory no? Complaining that your favourite fighter does not get enough praise, then try and play down one of the greatest fighters of this decades achievements.

I bet you was one of those people who played down Mayweather's win over De La Hoya(at his comfortable weight) and then sung from the rooftops when Manny beat him at 147.

  11. Every boxing fan knows that Pacquiao's resume is immeasurably superior to Mayweather's.

  12. What did Pac do with his career period but be lucky to be born at a time where this country would rather praise anything than give a black man his due. Beating up 3rd class fighters after black people already did it before him isn't much of a career.

Pac also had to do it the hard way. He wasn't groomed to be a star like Mayweather was given dates and shots basew3d on assocaition.

BTW...your post is just drivel on Pac dude. Excuses and nothing of substance. :-(

So you don't count VACANT titles won? For all, or only Pac? Do you count Floyd's JrMW title as legit? I mean, he did beat DLH, but DLH beat a guy who won the VACANT belt. Mayorga won a vacant belt, lost on his first defense to DLH. DLH lost on his first defense as well to Floyd.

So, these guys are taking turns passing around a belt won awhen it was vacant. Is it legit to you?
