Thought the MEN was a good venue for boxing, the £75 seats were decent and the pints weren't too bad at £4. The Watson - Purdy fight was a ******* but Munroe's fight was disappointing, I would have loved to have got my hands on that **** with the vuvazela...

Jamie boxed well, he is finally using his Jab :good, He hurt razik in the first with a body shot and again in the 5th, a good 6 round's of work

    Considering ................

he was sitting around for near 6 hour's not knowing when he was going on, had no dressing room once khan arrived had to sit in the corridor on a plastic chair, was golved up for near 2 and a half hours warmed up 3 times, was told he may not even fight he did well,

We were gutted he did not get to go on before the main event when there was a crowd to build his profile and it kind of took the shine on thing but he did his job kept his head and stuck another tick in the win colum

I wonder what now for McCloskey, I get the impression Roach and Khan weren't best pleased when De La Hoya said he deserved a re-match.. De La Hoya really looked out of his depth chairing the post fight press conference. He annoyed me with the bull**** comments about not being a doctor, surely a ****en all time great thats won belts in several decisions would have an opinion, a casual observer would be forgiven for thinking De La Hoya was some shrewd business man who recently became involved in boxing..

Anyway, I could be wrong but I get the impression that De La Hoya might have something to offer McCloskey

He/she was a right **** alright. I thought £4.20 for a pint was plenty. Not much skin on show from the ring girls either- as expected :verysad Couldn't hear half of what Buffer was saying after the fight. There was an eerie silence during the Munroe fight and then all of a sudden it was mayhem. Saw Glen McCrory in the hotel before I left. He must be getting it tight for money if hes staying in a Premier Inn

Highlight of the night was standing having a pint with all the Irish support and watching 4 asian wannabe gangsters walk through holding eachother by the arm- british army style. Heard one of them say "stay together" to his mate, who relayed the message on to the others. They were expecting to get ripped to shreds by the Dudey army, but not one person batted an eyelid at them. Paranoid :patsch

    Clutching at straws.

Ya gotta ask yourself how would that possibly benefit Golden Boy in anyway?

The only thing I can think of is maybe putting him on an undercard in America in order to try get some extra Irish-American PPV buys....
