I personally think getting sent to prison was the best thing that could happen to Mike in 1992. He had two long wars with Ruddock, and then the division started getting better. I would shudder to think what a 1993 Holyfied, Bowe, Lewis would have done to him. Then you got other underrated contenders like Tucker, Mercer, and McCall in the mix. Tyson's career would have been a lot shorter...
If Tyson would have beaten Holyfield, Vander fans would be saying that Holy was shot to ****, at the time he fought Tyson.
It ended after he fired his training team and Don King took over; he began fighting lethargic and didn't have the sharpness or desire he once had. Under Cus he was incredible - could give any fighter in history a good fight.
Roger I understand ur point if Tyson wasn't a crazy nutter he probably would not have been so destructive in the ring...unfortunately he became destructive outside the ring. I do not agree that he was a hype job- he would trouble all ATG's except maybe Ali as he would have totally screwed his mind and Tyson likely would have gotten disqualifed

Mike Tyson was one of the best, natural, talented, gifted boxers to step foot in the ring. Tyson was exploited as a boxer, it's a shame things turned out how they did.
he was very motivated for razor ruddock:good....mike tyson was in the best condition in his entire career for the 2nd ruddock fight....so i wouldnt say he wasnt motivated.....
