Nah, Pac's never been there. If he did, that place would be NUTS.

Last fight I went to was at MSG, Cotto v Clottey. Been waiting on something big since.

Hopefully they can get some scraps at the New Meadowlands as well.

Nobody wants to fight in a state with income tax (NY) when you can fight in a state with NO income tax (Nevada, Texas and Florida).

MSG is also quite pricey (both in fees and operating cost) compared to smaller venues across the country. This is why Connecticut and New Jersey casinos get the North East fights instead of NYC.

    You guys are all wrong.

They're renovating MSG from the inside. It'll be ready late thie year or early next year.

    You're right.

Just a couple years back I used to go to big fights at MSG all the time, now all the fights in the tri-state seem to be either in Foxwoods or A.C.

First reason is TAXES. NYS has city and state tax.

Second, Unless you're a Puerto Rican superstar, its hard to draw fans to MSG to watch a fight.

Actually I could see PBF or Manny selling out the Garden quite easily.

They've been "renovating" it for years. I don't think that has anything to do with the lack of boxing attraction there. Those renovations also don't stop Knicks and St. Johns games from being played there.

Yes but they will have to pay income tax which neither wants to do.
