Yeah they really give a **** about giving a freebie to there subscribers

They did this to increase subscribers to Sky Sports. If Joe Bloggs knows Khan will be on Sky Sports and he hasn't subscribed to the sports package, he'll more than likely phone Sky or Virgin to purchase the Sky Sports package rather than pay £15 for the PPV

Sky get residual income, they charge per month for Sky Sports, I dunno how much but more than the £15 for the PPV, chances are Joe Bloggs will be subscribed to Sky Sports for alot longer than a month, they increase their profits and Khan takes a huge cut with all the risk, no sense for Team Khan to carry on with them

Good for you but alot dont, Its easier to just buy it off the shelf as a stand alone event.

I dont want the hassle of having to sign a 24 month contract with sky sports to watch a boxing match. I watch them online yes legal streams!

i dont care why they did it, point is i would have gotten it for free.

sky sports have on decent shows every few weeks, plus we get to see all the big american ppv's for free, i dont only watch boxing for amir khan.

lol. You really put too much into Khan's pull. If people are not already subscribed to Sky Sports they wouldnt be doing so for that fight.

Yeah I mean the same network which gives Hatton promotions a platform for its fighters is a disgrace for not wanting that promoter to be in anyway linked mentioned or linked with primetime.

I agree its a bit pedantic but another example of where the power lies? You aint gonna see ricky hatton in a rush to move his fight nights to primetime, put it that way.

Yes but from a fighters point of view like Khan it was a big **** you from them. You take your business elsewhere

How did Setanta get so big, they started out as two bit players grew massively, course they went bust, but the owner of Primetime has deep pockets, this is definately a profitable market and they will expand from here

Two PPV broadcasters is always better than one in the LONG term for the public

There are no legal streams for SKY shows... do you mean that you only watch Khan fights?

Yeah sure matey as you can read the mind of the whole boxing viewing public

You sell them one PPV or sell them every sport that Sky have for the same price, which do you choose

You can't blame Sky for the whole farce that went on in the week upto the Khan fight...

Also after watching the pile of wank event unfold, Sky will be happy it was dropped from their channel
